This AI create a deepfake of your voice, but in another language

Artificial intelligence has made remarkable advancements in recent months, enabling capabilities that were once considered purely science fiction. Today, we are excited to introduce a new AI tool that brings this cutting-edge technology to your iPhone, allowing you to translate your voice seamlessly. No matter how unfamiliar a language may appear, this innovative algorithm empowers you to speak it fluently (even on video) as if you were a native speaker. It’s truly a groundbreaking development that brings the power of AI translation directly to your fingertips.

The emergence of artificial intelligence has paved the way for various recreations of ourselves, showcasing its capabilities in different aspects. From placing our face onto another person to lending our voice to processors for virtual recreation, the possibilities are expanding.

One such recent iteration is Rask.AI, a web tool accessible through Safari, with a simple premise. We record ourselves speaking in front of the camera, upload the video to the web application, and await processing. In return, we receive the same video with our face and voice, now translated into the language of our choice. It’s important to note that this tool is newly developed and we are using the free version. Consequently, languages that share more similarities or are commonly translated tend to yield more accurate results in terms of our voice. However, given the nature of AI, we can expect significant improvements in this aspect in a short span of time.

Initially, it may seem unbelievable, but this tool remarkably performs well considering its recent creation. Currently, only the voice translation feature is available, with no lip sync functionality. However, the developers have already stated that future versions will incorporate synchronized diction and lip movement to enhance the overall experience.

How our voice is translated in Rask.AI

Using Rask.AI is incredibly straightforward. After logging in, we are greeted with a user-friendly panel displaying our translated projects. To begin, we simply select the desired video, adjust the language parameters, and let the AI take over. But how does it work? The AI transcribes our video’s audio, translates it, and then applies it using the voice deepfake technique.

Once the video is translated, the website notifies us that we can close the page. Within a few minutes, we will receive an email with the completed project. Alternatively, we can also view the translated result directly on the Rask.AI web interface.

Rask.AI offers a free plan, allowing us to translate two videos per month. There is a maximum limit of 100 MB in size and one minute in length for each video. However, with the paid plan, these limitations are lifted. For $39 per month, we gain access to a maximum video duration of 25 minutes, support for over 60 languages, and additional features. For those seeking an even more extensive experience, the Pro plan is available for $99 per month. This plan provides early access to the lip sync function and a maximum video length of 100 minutes.
