One more year, Google has had to make decisions in this regard with different apps and services that had been losing steam in recent times. And it is that, as we are used to, the technological giant does not think twice and completely closes what no longer meets its expectations.
For this very reason, now that we are ending 2022, we are going to quickly review the different services and applications that Google has decided to close during the year. In total there have been up to 15 services and apps that have closed their doors to the public. We even know which will be the first to fall in 2023.

Apps and services that have said goodbye in 2022
Up to 15 applications and services have had to close in 2022 by order of Google. The American company has no compassion for anyone or anything and if it doesn’t deliver what it promised, good-bye. For this reason, we are going to see all those services that have disappeared during this year, so that you do not continue looking for them during the next year:
- Android Auto for smartphones : the app had barely been around for two years and a few months (2019-2022).
- Android Things : originally it was going to close in 2020, although it was not until this year that it was finally carried out (2015-2022).
- Cameos on Google : an app that let celebrities answer fan questions with short videos (2018-2022).
- G Suite Free : neither more nor less than 16 years of life is what this free G Suite plan has had (2006-2022).
- Google Assistant Snapshot : it was going to replace Google Now, although after just over 3 years it has closed forever (2018-2022).
- Google Duo : the app was set aside to leave Meet (2016-2022).
- Google Chrome Apps : 12 years later, Chrome apps say goodbye (2010-2022).
- Kormo Jobs (2019-2022).
- Google My Business App (2018-2022).
- Google Hangouts : another of the most durable services that allowed us to send messages instantly (2013-2022).
- Google Surveys (2012-2022).
- YouTube Go : the lightest YouTube option, for smartphones with less memory and RAM resources, closes its doors (2017-2022).
- Duplex on the Web (2019-2022).
- YouTube Originals : YouTube original content says goodbye after almost 6 years of project (2016-2022).
- Threadit (2021-2022).
Although, if we take a look at the complete list of all the apps and services that Google has been throwing in, we can see how up to today, it has already finished with up to 28 projects . However, a few of these will close over the next year.

And for 2023?
However, they are not the only services to which we have had to say goodbye. And it is that, very soon, more like during 2023, there are already a few services and applications that will close their doors to users forever. One of the most striking cases is Google’s cloud video game service, called Google Stadia (closes in January). But, not the only thing that will end next year, from the offices of the technology giant they also end with:
- Google Cloud IoT Core – Ending in August 2023.
- Conversational Actione s: closes in June next year.
- Google Currents : in March 2023.
- Google OnHub – Closes January 2023.
