The options that we have available on Android phones to take screenshots are very varied, although there is something in which One UI and Samsung are ahead. Only with a Samsung Galaxy smartphone will we be able to take screenshots by simply sliding your hand across the screen itself, something that is striking and at the same time very practical.

For several generations this option has been available in premium mobiles and now also in those of the entry range or mid-range. The good thing is that the Samsung software allows us to use this option with only the front sensor of the mobile, the same one that is used to, among other things, turn off the screen by putting the mobile on our ear to talk on the phone.
Activate screenshots by swiping
To start taking screen captures when passing your hand you first have to activate this option. It is not activated by default, but doing so is very simple. From the first version of One UI we will be able to activate it, reaching the latest One UI 3.0 where new options are added but the old and useful ones do not disappear. What we must do is the following:

- We begin by entering the device settings.
- Then we look for the Advanced Features tab.
- Next we enter “Movements and gestures”.
- And now we mark the option “Slide to capture”.
With only these steps we will activate the option, but we will not stop being able to do it with the volume down and power buttons, as well as with the shortcuts that we can have with certain actions.
Problems capturing by hand
Although activating it is very simple, we can find some errors and bugs that prevent us from taking advantage of the option to capture Samsung by hand . The first and most advisable thing is to check in Settings> System> Updates that we have the latest version of One UI, as it could have suffered a failure that is already solved. Other problems that may be the cause are the following:
- We are backlit and the sensor is confused.
- The proximity sensor is damaged.
- We have slipped our hand very quickly.
- We have slid our hand too slowly across the screen.
- There is water or moisture on the sensors.

There are many people who have encountered various errors with sliding captures and most of them are fixed by trying again with the advice we have given you. In case the failure is hardware, we can find out from Samsung Members, testing all our mobile and highlighting its errors.
