For Sony, the MWC in Barcelona is a key event year after year. After its cancellation, we gradually know those terminals that we could have touched at the fair. The big surprise now comes from the new Xperia L4, a new mid-range device that has the honor of releasing the “notch” on the Japanese company’s mobile phones.
Sony remains a giant and its high-end terminals such as the Xperia 1 or the Xperia 5 have excellent features. The first with “notch”
The device drinks from the inheritance in design of the entire Sony range of 2019. That is, we are facing a terminal with an aspect ratio of 21: 9, a more stretched screen that reaches 6.2 inches and HD + resolution. Also striking is the integration of the “notch” in the front to accommodate the selfie sensor, something that allows the device to dispense with the classic frames for the first time in the company’s history.
Bet on MediaTek
The terminal integrates a MediaTek Helio P22 chip , which is accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. These specifications place you directly in an input range where you will have a few rivals to beat. However, Sony wants to bring design excellence and the appearance of its most powerful terminals to the lowest price range.
Triple camera
The new Xperia L4 has a triple rear camera, with a 13 megapixel main sensor , a 5 megapixel ultra wide angle sensor and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. In the aforementioned front notch there is an 8 megapixel sensor . It is important to note that the terminal has a 3,580 mAh battery with fast charging and maintains the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Sale date
Sony reports that the device arrives with Android 9 Pie, and has a side fingerprint sensor. The terminal will be available from spring in black and blue colors. At the moment its price has not been detailed nor the market where it will be available. It is estimated that it could reach the market for a price close to 250 euros.
