Smart Bulbs: Google and Alexa Compatible Models

More and more smart devices are found in our homes. In addition to telephones, tablets, televisions or game consoles, another of the devices most present in many homes are smart bulbs. The arrival of the Internet of things has meant that certain devices such as the light bulbs themselves also have connectivity and we can control them comfortably from the mobile.

In this way, it is possible to turn off or turn on the lights in our house, adjust the intensity or even change the color of the light to create an atmosphere according to each moment in a certain room. In addition, many models are compatible with some of the most used virtual assistants such as Google’s own or Alexa. This allows us to control the home light with our own voice.

Smart Bulbs: Google and Alexa Compatible

Now, there are certain details that we must take into account when choosing a smart bulb. Perhaps the most important is the technology they use. We can find models that use our home’s own WiFi , which are the easiest to install, although there are others that use other technologies such as ZigBee, Bluetooth or Z-Wave. In the case of ZigBee bulbs, it is important to know that although they allow covering larger spaces than those that are connected by WiFi, they depend on an additional section or bridge so that they work correctly and we can control them.

Those that use Bluetooth or Z-Wave technology require that we have to pair each of the bulbs in our house individually with our mobile phone, so it is not the most comfortable solution.

In addition to the technology itself, it is important to take into account other details such as the power offered by each bulb, the brightness, temperature, brightness, colors or type of socket or thread. It is also interesting to know if they are compatible with Google and Alexa assistants, as in the case of the bulbs that we show you below.
