Users who have updated to version 86.0.622.61 , or who use the latest Beta or Canary, will find a new function, called ” Purchases in Microsoft Edge “, which is activated by default and which will allow us to save money when we go to buy on certain web pages.
How to save when buying online with Edge
This new function is activated by default for all users. There is no need to modify any flag or activate any switch within the configuration. Of course, if we want to deactivate it, we will have to do it from the browser’s Settings menu, specifically in the Services section.
If it is activated, when we visit a shopping web page we will see an icon in the shape of a price tag in the address bar. If we click on it, a floating window will appear from which we can see the different offers, coupons and promotions that we have available on the page in question.
Edge will show us the most interesting coupons, but we can click on the show more button to see all the coupons that are available for the page where we are trying to buy. This new shopping function also makes use of an internal function of the browser, MSColllectionsPriceComparison , which is responsible for comparing the price of a product with different pages at the same time and, if it finds it cheaper, it will recommend us to buy it on another page where you can save more .
A show that arrives in time for Christmas
Dates are approaching when we usually spend a lot more money than we should. 11 of 11, Black Friday , Blue Monday, Christmas … Thanks to this new Edge function we will no longer have to spend time looking for coupons and comparing the price between different web pages or looking for discount coupons that allow us to save on our purchases.
