For this reason, it is time to get to know in depth one of those interesting functionalities that these phones have, such as Smart Driving .
And it is that, with this feature that is integrated into those devices of the firm that have at least ColorOS 5.2, we will be able to drive safer. Therefore, we are facing a way that has been designed to facilitate the work of going behind the wheel of our vehicle while we stay connected with our phone. So we will always be prioritizing safety when driving . A way that can make our car trips much more productive and safe.
What is smart driving mode for?
A little distraction while behind the wheel can cause any kind of accident. Even if we really do not want to answer a phone call or take a look at who sent us a message or to find out what the notification is that has just arrived. Therefore, there are many reasons that can lead us to want to check our smartphone.
Basically, because the need to verify it is sometimes too strong, but the thing to always keep in mind is that our main focus will be to be focused on the road, so we should not end up deviating from the main objective. Also, checking the phone is known to be one of the main reasons for accidents on the road . For this reason, I design this functionality in order to avoid it and save more lives.
This mode has been designed solely to be used while driving our vehicle. Once we enable this peculiar feature, we will get the OPPO phone to adapt its functionalities to those of something as important as driving.
Therefore, when this mode is activated, the bluetooth of our mobile device of the Chinese firm turns on by itself to be able to connect with the one of our car radio. Within this functionality we find an assistant to connect directly to the bluetooth kits , and quickly and easily adapt their operation to them while we are behind the wheel.
In addition, this mode that is integrated in OPPO smartphones with ColorOS from version 5.2, is based on nothing and nobody ending up bothering us. It is for this reason that it can be adapted to our needs also within this functionality of the Chinese manufacturer’s smartphones.
How is this driving mode activated?
Well, in order to start activating this functionality on our OPPO smartphone, the steps could vary depending on the version of the customization layer that we have on our phone. For this reason, we have chosen to do it with a smartphone that has ColorOS 11 . So, to enable this mode we must do the following:
- Enter the settings of your OPPO.
- Click on the Smart Services section.
- Enter the Smart Driving section.
- Activate it by clicking on the switch that will appear.
In addition, we can also start it quickly from the quick shortcuts of our OPPO mobile by sliding the Control Center. To do this, we must edit this area that we access by sliding our finger down from the upper edge of the screen. And to finish it, we will have to go to the notification we receive when we activate it and click Finish smart driving. Although if we have eliminated it, we can deactivate this mode by entering the previous settings.
Make it activate itself
Once activated we will be able to configure different aspects, although one of the most interesting points will be the possibility that it can be enabled by itself without us having to do anything about it. To do this, we will need to enter the previous settings that we have shown you again. However, this time we will have to click on the option to Activate driving mode when a Bluetooth car kit is connected . That is, this function will enable it to be enabled by itself when connecting it to the Bluetooth of our car. In addition, we can manage the devices with this connection through Manage Bluetooth car kits.
Try Motorcycle mode
In this case we will have to verify that we have at least ColorOS 6.0 on our mobile device. If so, we could count on our phone with this extra functionality that will fit other types of motor vehicles or not, since it will also serve when we are mounted on a bicycle. Although, the functionalities will be the same as the Intelligent Driving function , which we will see later. To enable this mode we will have to enter Settings> Smart service> Smart driving> Driving mode. Of course, this feature will not be enabled by itself as is the case with driving a car.
Set it up on your OPPO mobile
It is time to see all the aspects that we can configure once we have this function enabled on our smartphone from the Chinese firm. And is that, when this feature is activated, everything, except incoming calls, will be silenced by default. So these will be the options that we will find in Do not disturb during the connection:
- Allow calls : we can choose who can call us while driving, including calls From anyone, Only from contacts, Only from favorite contacts or Reject all incoming calls.
- Ring for Repeat Calls : Allow calls from the same number to ring within three minutes.
- Automatically send a message after rejecting a call : when the system is activated, the person in question who has called us will be automatically answered with an SMS, indicating that the call cannot be answered. In addition, we have the option of customizing the text to be sent.
- Block Voice and Video calls : when the driving mode is enabled in our OPPO, voice and video calls will be blocked automatically.
- Block pop-up notifications : with this option notifications are muted and will not be displayed on the smartphone screen. However, reminders for the alarm clock, timer, and other features will continue to be displayed on the home panel.
