Samsung Launches Television that Becomes a Giant Mobile

That the screens of our mobiles are getting bigger is something that no one escapes. Manufacturers are increasingly using frames, and we have already seen how even the 7-inch barrier has been overcome in the odd smartphone, a border of size that until recently was reserved for the smallest tablets. But Samsung has gone a step further, presenting a hybrid between television and smartphone, which allows us to have the world’s largest mobile phone in the living room.

Samsung Launches Television that Becomes a Giant Mobile

The Korean company is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of televisions and smartphones. Both worlds are increasingly united, with the connectivity at hand that multiplies the interaction options between both gadgets, even allowing the sound of TV to be heard on the mobile phone. Now, Samsung has launched in Europe, starting with Holland, the new The Sero, the first rotating TV in the world that becomes mobile to display content vertically.

Vertical videos, games and social networks

This 43-inch screen with 4K QLED technology is specially designed to display mobile content, such as social media videos. Most of the videos (90% according to Samsung) are recorded vertically, so the TV is rotated quickly and automatically to show this content on the full screen, eliminating any black frame. In addition, the user will be able to see all their vertical games on a giant screen, something that is not possible with traditional horizontal screens. In addition, the television can easily move from one place to another in the house, thanks to its built-in wheels.

As highlighted by the Korean company in a press release, Sero’s screen orientation technology allows a perfect connection with smartphones. In this way, Samsung responds to the popularity of video platforms such as YouTube, making that like a mobile, this TV can quickly change its orientation from horizontal to vertical and vice versa. The screen integrates the technology “Tap View” that allows you to connect a Galaxy mobile quickly just by bringing it closer to the TV.

Price and date of sale

If we take into account the price of Samsung’s most powerful smartphones that far exceed 1,000 euros, it does not seem so much if we tell you that The Sero is priced at 1,699 euros. Its release for sale in the Netherlands is scheduled for September 7. Do you think this is the future of our televisions?
