As all our devices are more connected every day , very close links are created between our mobile and other gadgets. One of the best friends of our mobile can be a wearable in the form of a smartwatch or smartband, but in recent times, televisions have also become an element that offers a lot of possibilities with our terminal.

The Korean company pre-installs the “SmartThings” application on their devices with which they can control various of their devices including interesting functions with our TV. One of the most interesting is the possibility of listening to the content on TV from our mobile, connecting headphones. This system avoids having to connect headphones to the television, since in many occasions there is not a sufficiently long cable, so our mobile will act as a link.
Listen to TV from the mobile with headphones
This is an excellent option when our TV does not have Bluetooth or we do not have Bluetooth headphones ourselves. In this way, we can use the usual headphones of our mobile, connected to the 3.5mm jack to listen to television without disturbing anyone. Obviously this function is valid for a huge number of Samsung mobiles, including older terminals such as the Galaxy S6, but it is discarded in those who are removing this connector.

How to activate the function
In order to listen to the content of the TV from our mobile , we will have to open the “SmartThings” application and click on our TV in the menu. Once done, we will have to go to the bottom menu and select the option “Play sound from your TV on mobile”. Now it only remains to connect the headphones to the mobile to start listening to the sound of the TV.
Can I do it with other devices?
If you have a Samsung mobile and television you will have no problem, since the function has been created for the company’s ecosystem of products. However, the function may be compatible with other mobiles and other televisions of different brands. Therefore, and in this case, this compatibility cannot be guaranteed, so it will be a matter of testing with each device to resolve any doubts.
