In an unexpected turn of events, Samsung has taken the “Lite” versions of its flagship 2019 out of its sleeve. Thus, in addition to the Galaxy S10 Lite, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite has landed in our country . This big guy has several elements that make it common to the Galaxy Note 10 standard, but with well-marked differences, and hence the reduction in its price . Today we wanted to compare both terminals to see their main differences and advantages of one over another.
A “Lite” version is a twist to a successful terminal, which reduces benefits to make it more affordable and reach more people. This is what happens with the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, which although it does not maintain the full power of the Note 10, it does have elements that will satisfy a large number of users, taking into account that the price drop is significant.

Screen and Size
The first thing we see is a substantial difference in the screen size of both terminals. While the Galaxy Note 10 has a size of 6.3 inches, the new Note 10 Lite grows to 6.7 inches. In both cases we are facing a panel with AMOLED technology and FullHD + resolution. In the case of Note 10 it reaches 1,080 x 2,280 pixels while in Note 10 Lite it is 2,400 x 1,080 pixels.
There is a slight variation in the aspect ratio, since the Note 10 has a screen ratio of 19: 9, while the Note 10 Lite reaches 20: 9, that is, the new device stretches its screen a little more , you can do something more accessible to one-handed operation. We also see that the standard Note 10 has more points per inch, reaching 401 versus the 394 d of the Lite version.
We see that the new model has not stylized what the Note 10 already achieved, since it reaches 199 grams and 8.7 millimeters thick, far from 168 grams and only 7.9 millimeters from its brother. It is very possible that in this increase in weight the battery has much prominence, as we will see later.
Processor and memory
One of the big differences and that gives meaning to the “Lite” label is when we raise the hood of both terminals. The Galaxy Note 10 features the Exynos 9825 , which is the most advanced processor in Samsung’s history. The Exynos 9825 has been manufactured in a 7nm process, which ensures better energy efficiency. Its performance, despite being far from the most powerful Snapdragon, competes admirably with any current high-end.
The Galaxy Note 10 Lite for its part, integrates an Exynos 9810, manufacturing in a 10nm process and that was the brain of the best Samsung of 2018 such as the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9. To get an idea of the difference in performance between both processors, the Galaxy Note 10 has reached 438,004 points in the famous Benchmark AnTuTu, for the 322,986 points achieved by the Note 9. However, both teams will move freely in day-to-day tasks and even with games more demanding present on Android.
Another big difference appears when you take a look at the RAM and internal memory. The Galaxy Note 10 is sold in Spain with an 8 GB version of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, while the Note 10 Lite comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. However, we see a note very much in favor of the Note 10 Lite, since you can extend this memory using microSD cards up to 1TB, while the Note 10 does not have this option.
Cameras
At first glance there does not seem to be a big difference between the cameras of both terminals, there could even be some advantage for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite as we will see below.
Galaxy Note 10: Triple rear camera with 12 MP main sensor and 2.4 aperture that allows zooming up to 2X. The second sensor is a 12 megapixel wide angle for wider shots that have an aperture of f / 2.1. Finally it has a third sensor of 16 megapixels, in this case it is an ultra wide angle with aperture f / 2.2. Its front camera reaches 10 MP with f / 2.2 aperture
Galaxy Note 10 Lite: Triple rear camera with 12 MP main sensor and 2.4 aperture that also allows zooming up to 2X. The second sensor is a 12 MP telephoto lens that has an aperture of f / 2.4. As a third sensor we have another 12 MP sensor in this case it is another ultra wide angle with f / 2.2 aperture. Its front camera reaches 32 MP with f / 2.2 aperture.
As we can see, both devices are even in the photographic section, but the Galaxy Note 10 Lite has a more powerful selfie sensor than its older brother. In addition, the mere difference in their design (square rear module versus vertical alignment) makes them look like two terminals of different families.
And the batteries?
We enter an interesting terrain of the comparison, since although the 3,500 mAh of the Galaxy Note 10 was not considered surprising when it was presented, less so now when we see the 4,500 mAh of the Lite version. In this sense, it is worth reflecting, since although the Exynos 9825 of the Note 10 has fewer milliamps, the 4,500 mAh of the Note 10 Lite should power a larger screen and a less efficient processor. In this sense and with the OneUI energy management, it is possible that the final difference in terms of autonomy is not as much as it seems to be shown on paper.
Both terminals have 25W fast charging , but only the standard Note 10 has wireless and reverse charging, technologies that have not reached the Lite variant.
A detail in the Operating System
There is no doubt that both terminals taste Android 10 through Samsung’s OneUI layer. However, there is a detail to take into account. The Galaxy Note 10 went on the market with Android 9 Pie, so after the arrival of Android 10, it would only have an operating system update, as Samsung has accustomed us. The Note 10 Lite on the other hand, is a native of Android 10, so we should expect updates at least until Android 12. It is a detail that many users will undoubtedly take into consideration when choosing a model or another .
The price matters
The price difference is overwhelming between both terminals. The Galaxy Note 10 has an official price of 899 euros , although it can easily be found on portals like Amazon for just over 713 euros, and we have even seen it for 699 euros. The Galaxy Note 10 lands with an official price of 609 euros , an abysmal difference over the official price of its older brother, but not so much when we find it on offer.
Which one did I buy?
There is no doubt that the Galaxy Note 10 is a more powerful terminal, thanks to its processor and RAM, although its internal memory of 256 GB cannot be expanded. It also has technologies such as wireless or reverse charging. If we talk about official prices, it may be more worthwhile to get a Note 10 Lite, with which we will savor all the experience of a Note 10 and it is a great option if we want to enter this family. However, if we find the Note 10 on offer and its difference is about 90 euros, it is possible that it is more worth doing with the standard Note 10.
