Although all the headlines and applause are usually taken by the large high-end terminals, the truth is that the cake of sales is usually a merit of the mid-range. Samsung has managed to perfectly contain the attack of the Chinese competition, thanks to the Galaxy A series. In this family we find modest entry-level terminals such as the Galaxy A10s or closer to the Premium such as the Galaxy A71.
Right in the center are those that can be considered the most balanced of the entire series. One of the great protagonists of 2020 has been the Galaxy A51, the most successful Android mobile, thanks to its more than 11.4 million units sold. Samsung has also launched its 5G variant, but now, we can take a look at the next Galaxy A52 5G, a worthy successor to which the first images of its design have just been leaked along with some technical features.
Continuous design
On this occasion, it was the famous leaker Steve Hemmerstoffer, also known as OnLeaks, who made these images known. According to the source and when viewing these images, Samsung will repeat the design formula of the Galaxy A51 5G, that is, the terminal will sport a premium look, with a “Glasstic” rear panel that mimics the touch and style of glass, surrounded by a metal frame.
The source claims that the Galaxy A52 5G will feature the same 6.5-inch screen as its predecessor, with a hole to house the selfie sensor, in a type of panel known to Samsung as the Infinity-O. In addition, it will have four rear cameras, engulfed in a rectangular mobile and whose sensor details have not been revealed. The good news for many is that Samsung will continue to respect the 3.5mm jack in many mid-range terminals in 2021, and this terminal was not going to be less. However, the feeling is that the sensors could be significantly larger than the previous generation, appropriate to the style of the high-end of the Korean firm.
A price that stays
The device will have an integrated fingerprint sensor in the screen, and its dimensions will be 159.9 x 75.1 x 8.4mm, while the total thickness taking into account the rear camera module, is 10mm. In addition, it is detailed that the price of the device will be around 469 euros, which is the original price at which the Galaxy A51 5G went on sale.
