When we are in an environment of productivity or entertainment, our mobile and PC constantly interact. It is common to transfer files from one medium to another, with more or less archaic means. Manufacturers are aware of this interaction and integrate tools to facilitate and unify the path in which the smartphone and the PC meet. One of the most refined is Samsung Flow , which the Korean company offers as a tool on its smartphones to perform these tasks. But what exactly is it and how does it work?
Mobile / PC interoperability has little to do with the beginnings of mobile telephony, where connecting the terminal to a computer was reserved for engineering and technical service tasks. Now, any user can have control of what happens on the mobile from the PC and vice versa. The Samsung Flow tool facilitates this task on the Samsung Galaxy.
What is Samsung Flow?
As indicated by Samsung itself, Samsung Flow is a tool that offers a dynamic, secure and clear connection between the smartphone and a PC or tablet. In this way, we can move documents, see mobile notifications on the computer and access mobile content from a larger screen.
How active
How could it be otherwise, to be able to use the function we will have to have Samsung Flow in its version for mobile and PC . Then, we will have to access the application from our smartphone and choose the phone from the list. Simply confirm a security code on both devices to be connected and be able to use the tool. In this case and once connected, we will have several functions at our disposal.
- Secure access to the computer from the Samsung Galaxy
- Smart View: share the mobile screen with a tablet or PC
- File transfer: allows you to share content between devices and perform actions remotely
- Notification synchronization: used to view mobile notifications from the computer and respond to messages without having to change devices
- Automatic Hostpot Link: allows you to activate the mobile hotspot and share the data with other devices.
Configure notifications
To be able to see the notifications of some messaging applications, choosing which ones we want Samsung Flow to send to other devices. To do this, we enter the Samsung Flow application from the mobile and click on “More options” (the icon with three dots). Then we select “Settings” in the drop-down menu and click on “Manage notifications”. Once done, we will only have to activate the switches to the right of the applications from which you want Samsung Flow to show us notifications.
Configure SmartView
As we know, this function allows transferring in real time, the screen of our Samsung Galaxy on a PC or tablet. After being paired, everything we do on the big screen will also be reflected in the terminal. To do this we must pair them through Samsung Flow and select “Smart View”. Once done, the mobile screen will appear in a secondary window. When this function is activated, we can activate other functions:
- Do Not Disturb – Minimize alerts and notifications to avoid distractions.
- Rotate : rotate the mobile screen to horizontal or vertical to facilitate viewing.
- Full Screen: Open the Smart View window in full screen on the PC
- Phone screen on or off : turns the smartphone screen on or off.
- Screenshot : take screenshots of the mobile screen
- Resolution : you can change the screen resolution
- Favorites : Add up to 8 Quick Access Favorite Applications in Smart View.
