Xiaomi‘s sub-brand Redmi launched the Redmi K30 in December last year in 4G and 5G versions. Soon after, the company anticipated the launch of another smartphone in the family and today Redmi has announced the older brother of this smartphone, a Redmi K30 Pro that arrives with a design that reminds us of the Mi 9T Pro and cutting- edge features.
In terms of design, the K30 Pro boasts an all-glass body, but has a completely different design approach compared to the K30 unveiled last year. For starters, there is no perforation on the screen to house the selfie camera, instead the pop-up module of the Redmi K20 (aka Xiaomi Mi 9T) is retrieved and the camera layout on the back is completely redesigned.
Great features for Redmi mobile
The device has a 6.67-inch FHD + AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and HDR10 support and, as the image above shows, it will be available in four color options: light white, sky blue, purple and space gray.
As expected, the Redmi K30 Pro works with the Snapdragon 865 processor, the best chipset for top of the range that we have seen this year and that drives mobiles of the likes of the Xiaomi Mi 10 or the Sony Xperia 1 II. This processor features enhanced AI performance and the X55 5G modem. In addition, there is an Adreno 650 GPU that promises a performance improvement of up to 25% over its predecessor. As for the memory configuration, the phone comes with 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 128GB / 256GB of internal storage.
The new Redmi beast is presented on the market with a 4700 mAh battery with support for 33 W fast charging. Since it has a dedicated modem, the mobile offers support for 5G, WiFi 802.11ax and Bluetooth 5 and not It forgoes the 3.5mm audio jack, which accompanies USB Type-C and an on-screen fingerprint scanner to unlock the device. All this controlled and governed by MIUI 11 based on Android 10 from the factory.
In the photographic department, the smartphone sports a configuration of four cameras at the back, with a dual-LED flash that are organized in a curious way inside the central circular module.
The setup includes a 64MP primary sensor (Sony IMX686) , accompanied by a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 123-degree angle of view, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, the device has a 20MP pop-up selfie camera.
