The latest news from Instagram is designed to further protect your publications in the feed, thus preventing them from disappearing both due to their own actions and possible hacks. If you want to know exactly what it is about, keep reading.
Recently deleted posts
Maybe not all of them, but for many of us who use Instagram with some frequency, it is likely that it has happened to us at some point that we give the option to delete a publication and as soon as we press the delete button we regret it. “Nooooo!” we shout, but it’s too late.

Well, the latest innovation that Instagram has introduced in its applications for iOS and Android is designed especially for that, to avoid those moments and some other problems that could end our entire feed of publications on said social network.
This novelty is a new tab called Recently Deleted and as you can imagine it is something similar, if not identical, to what already exists and we all know in other mobile applications such as the photo gallery of our smartphone or in cloud storage services . That is, a place where all the elements that you delete will stop and that remain for 30 days so that you have the possibility of restoring them in case you regret it.

These publications that you delete and go to this new tab are logically not public. Only the owner of the profile from which they have been removed will be able to see them during the extra period before their final removal. So there is nothing to fear and you can leave them until they are completely deleted in case you are not sure if you would decide to republish it or not.
If for any reason you want the posts to be deleted before 30 days or to restore them, then you will have to confirm that you are the account holder through a new authentication process. Which adds an extra security that links to the other utility that Instagram says will have this new feature.
How to access Recently Deleted
The new folder or section of Recently Deleted is being progressively activated. To go to it, all you have to do is go to Settings -> Account -> Recently deleted.
Once you log in, you will see all the publications and even deleted stories. Of course, the publications are kept for a period of 30 days before being permanently deleted. But the stories are only there for 24 hours.
A protection also against hacks

Another function that this new feature will also have to introduce by Instagram is to protect users from possible hacks . Not because it prevents a profile from being accessible by an attacker, there activating two-step verification is undoubtedly the most effective way to protect yourself, but it could be a lifesaver until a possible recovery of the account.
And it is that if they accessed your Instagram profile and deleted all your photos, they would remain in the recently deleted section and it would give the opportunity to restore them once you regain control of it. It is true that sometimes this is complicated and not even the company manages to provide a solution to these cases, but if it happens you would have that extra that could be key to maintaining what so much work could have taken you to build a profile in the net.
So now you know, with this new section of Recently Deleted Instagram wants to offer you an extra protection in all aspects for your publications. And you can use it to reorganize your feed a bit in case you have questions about what content you should leave or not.
