Updates to the operating system are the most important that our mobile can receive. Realme is carrying out one of the most important in its history, which involves the change from the ColorOS system to Realme UI . Some terminals such as the Realme X2 and have already begun to receive this important update.

However, and as is usually the case in the face of such a significant change, it usually has room for improvement to polish aspects or correct errors that arise. We have seen it with practically all brands and operating systems, including iOS and Android. For many beta programs that are carried out, it is only when or the update arrives in a massive way to the users that there may be problems not initially foreseen.

Sound failure
Luckily, many of these issues are fixed early by patching, however, while awaiting their arrival, users find alternate methods to fix the error. In the case of the realme X2, after its upgrade to realme UI, users are reporting an error , causing the videos captured with the native camera to be soundless. It is as if a third-party app is blocking the microphone and conflicts with the camera app.
Simple but temporary solution
The microphone works with other applications such as the phone, WhatsApp and many more. In this specific case, the conflict seems to be with Google’s voice functions, since a user has found the temporary solution to the problem. This happens by deactivating the voice command “Hey Google” and “While I drive”. By doing so, you can re-record videos with sound as before.
In order to do this we will have to go to Settings / Additional Settings. Then we will have to enter the “Keyboard and input method” section. Once inside, click on the Google options. At that time, only Google’s voice boxes will be unchecked, both the one that refers to the Ey Google command and the one indicated for driving. Then just restart the phone and we can record video with sound and without any problem.

It seems clear that Realme will release a patch very soon to fix this bug. There are still many devices that need to be upgraded to Realme UI, the new layer that changes the interface and adds new functions. This is a sign of independence from Realme, which although it was born under the inheritance of OPPO, is a brand with its own identity and this is being demonstrated in its first months in Spain.
