Realme: All gestures, Movements and Shortcuts to Activate Functions

The way we interact with our smartphone has changed a lot over time. We have gone from having large physical buttons, to being able to manage some of its functions without even touching the device. Realme mobiles with RealmeUI integrate a good handful of gestures , which will allow us to access their functions and tools more quickly.

Realme: All gestures, Movements and Shortcuts

Shortcuts or gestures are a kind of alternative to the classic handling of the mobile. Brands develop different ways of interacting, which can vary even between models. Almost all users agree that getting used to the gesture system allows faster interaction with many of the terminal’s functions. Let’s take a look at the possibilities that in this sense, we find in Realme mobiles.

Where are they activated?

The first thing we will have to do is go to Options / Convenience Tools . Once inside we find several options to activate and each one with a different function.

Navigation buttons

Here we can choose between the classic virtual buttons or use scrolling gestures from both sides . It is one of the methods that with practice will make the interaction much faster. In this way we can:

  • Go back: swiping to the center of the screen from the right or left side of the screen
  • Home screen : swipe up from the bottom of the screen
  • Recent tasks : swipe up from the bottom of the screen, but keep your finger
  • Last app open : to access the last app that we had open, we swipe left or right from the bottom edge of the screen

More swipe gestures

In the “More” section, we can also activate the “Vertical sliding gestures” that allow you to customize the Home, Back and Recent tasks gestures. Other gestures that can be activated in the same menu allow one-handed operation, hide the gesture guide bar, change the previous application by sliding the finger to the side and prevent accidental clicking on gestures.

Smart sidebar

We are facing a system that when activated , integrates a small sample on the side of the screen . There we can drag all the apps that we want to always have at hand to find them more easily. We can choose the opacity of the bar and hide it if necessary, as long as we know where it is to be able to activate it. Just press add to put applications and slide out so that the bar opens.

Gestures with the screen off

In this menu we will find everything that we can do with our Realme with the screen off. In this way we find:

  • Turn on the screen : double tap the screen
  • Open the camera : draw an “O” on the screen
  • Open the flashlight : draw a “V” on the screen
  • Screenshot : press or swipe the screen with three fingers

Functions with movement

Finally, we will see the options that allow activating certain functions through various movements with our mobile, in this way we can activate:

  • Lift to activate
  • Accept calls automatically
  • Bring the call to the telephone handset automatically
  • Rotate the mobile to mute calls
  • Call a contact automatically when you bring the phone to your ear
