If there is a cheap wearable device that has been sold “as churros” in the last year, that is the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 , a bracelet that for about 30 euros offers a color screen, notification, sports and sleep monitoring and measurement of the cardiac sequence. It is normal that with this precedent there is so much desire to know the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 .
A few days ago the CEO of Huami, the company in charge of bringing the development of the Xiaomi bracelet to a successful conclusion, revealed that it would be presented this year, but did not reveal a specific date, with the most likely date being the end of the year. Now we think that this presentation date of the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 could be much closer, since the first real photos of it have just been filtered.
Changes in the design of the Xiaomi Mi Band 5
These leaked photos on Weibo advance that the Mi Band 5 will have a larger screen than its predecessor and will come with a new charger design. While this leak does not confirm the actual size of the screen, the images suggest that the device would exceed 0.95 inches from the panel of the Mi Band 4 . For speculation, we could talk about a 1.2-inch color screen that would further highlight the touch button on its bottom.
Beyond the screen size and the small detail of the circular identifier under it, in terms of design it seems that the future Xiaomi Mi Band 5 will not be very different from what we can now find in the company’s catalog.
