Android mobiles leave practically nothing to chance and this makes us find protection aspects that we may not even have known about. Among all the security that mobile phones include, we find the Factory Reset Protection system that tries to prevent anyone from using our mobile. The problem comes when we try to sell the mobile or pass it on to another user and we have to prevent them from requesting the Google password.
Nowadays all mobiles include this security system that assures us from Android 5.0 Lollipop that we are not going to lose the mobile and find it months later in someone’s hands. This means that it does not matter if we have a Huawei, Samsung or Xiaomi mobile, all seals integrate the protection system that can work with one aspect or another but will be active in all by default.
Disable Android protection on reset phones
Before completing this process we must be sure of what we are going to do, making sure that the mobile is not going to fall into the wrong hands. In this process we do not need complicated steps, although we do need to make sure we do it the right way and without leaving anything behind.
- To begin we have to enter the mobile settings.
- We will look for the accounts option.
- Once inside we can see those of Google and the rest of the services but in this case we are only interested in Google, the others are not used for protection in Android .
- We will touch the gutter and proceed to remove it.
- Then we repeat the process with other Google accounts that we can have on the smartphone.
With this completed, we could now go to Settings> Systems> Recovery and reset the phone. When it is turned on again, it will not ask us for any type of password or security method. In some cases, it is also advisable to delete the unlock PIN or password so that this protection is not maintained either.
Re-add Factory Reset protection
Whether it is the same mobile as before or if it is a new one, to activate the Factory Reset Protection system we only have to enter the Google account when starting the mobile or even later if it allows us to skip this step. From that moment, no one who finds the mobile will be able to reset the phone or do a hard reset to use the smartphone as if it were theirs, it will be inevitable to use the original Google account that we had on the smartphone.
