PowerToys for Windows 10 seek to repeat the success of these same applications when they were released for Windows 95 and Windows XP. Although they are still in beta phase, the truth is that they can be used perfectly in our day to day, providing the Microsoft operating system with really interesting tools and capabilities. Now, with the arrival of the new version v0.16.0 PowerToys for Windows 10, three tools have been incorporated , in addition to improving the previous ones. Among them, one to resize images from the file explorer.
This collection of applications was initially launched several years ago for the mentioned operating systems, but Microsoft decided that it was a good time to recover the project. Obviously, this started from scratch and little by little more tools are incorporated. Until now we had the FancyZones, Shorcut Guide and PowerRename tools available. However, with the arrival of the new version v0.16.0 PowerToys for Windows 10 , up to four new tools have been added.

Markdown Preview, SVG Preview, Image Resizer and Window Walker
This new version, which can be downloaded from the previous link, has several new features. In addition to improvements with FancyZone when it comes to having two monitors and other small adjustments, problems have continued to be improved. Microsoft confirms that they have solved up to 100 problems with this version.
However, we are going to keep the four new extensions that they offer us:
PowerPreview or File Explorer (Preview Panes)
This will allow us to access a new panel within the file explorer that shows us a preview of the Markdown (.md) and SVG (.svg) files.

Image Resizer
In this case it is an extension for the Windows 10 context menu that adds the Resize Images option. We can use it with one or several selected images. Clicking on this option will open a window to choose the size and offer other options. Also, we can change advanced settings, especially interesting for more experienced users. Another option will be to resize the images when moving them to a new location.

Window walker
This application seeks to replace Alt + Tab by combining Ctrl + Windows key with a search engine that allows you to search for content and change windows between which we have open. It is not a launcher of installed applications, that will come later.

Precisely, it should be noted that they are still working to launch PowerLauncher , a macOS-style application launcher that many want to have on their Windows 10 computers. In fact, there are already applications that replicate this behavior and add the functionality to the operating system of Microsoft.
