For some time, there have been some models in the Android phone market that, having a fairly adjusted price, allow obtaining a performance that is more than enough for the vast majority of users. One of those that promises this is the POCO M3 Pro 5G and we will tell you if this is true, since we have tested it.
The model that we have specifically analyzed is the one with a 6 GB memory in terms of RAM and 128 gigabytes of storage (which is type UFS 2.2). They are not bad options for a phone that costs 199.99 euros, it must be said. Other details that are important in the hardware section and that allow a much more specific evaluation of the performance offered by the device together is that its processor is a MediaTek MT6833 Dimensity 700 5G . This SoC has become a fairly common choice for two devices that want to offer the best possible access to data.
Another feature of the POCO M3 Pro 5G that should be taken into account is that its 6.5-inch screen offers a Full HD + resolution. This component, without being particularly demanding, does put the smartphone to the test at specific times. An example of what we say is when playing games with 3D graphics with the intention of not lowering the quality at any time. But we will talk about this later.
POCO M3 Pro 5G Power Test
When we carry out all the usual tests that we use on our site, one thing has become quite clear about this device: its performance is good enough in terms of power to be a suitable solution for a large number of users. We say this because it does not clash in practically any aspect, although it is true that we must highlight some details that are particularly curious and interesting.
An example of what we say is that we have had certain difficulties when performing tests in which the device is subjected to severe stress, since when starting the application in question it was impossible for it to work. Curiously, this has not happened with practically any other app, and it should be noted that when working on a day-to-day basis with common developments such as browsers or those used to send and receive messages, the user experience obtained is very good. We have practically not detected any lag .

Something that we liked a lot about this POCO M3 Pro 5G is that we have not had any problems with regard to the temperature in normal use, so it is always possible to use the device without feeling any danger or annoyance. Besides, when working with the wireless options that are included, it must be said that with Bluetooth everything has gone wonderfully, but with some WiFi networks we have suffered some unexpected disconnection. Although it is true that this is solved quickly and automatically.
No problems with the 5G connection when using the mobile
This is one of the things that stand out especially in this device considering the price it has, and we have to say that the performance that is achieved with the integrated modem is quite good. The transfer speeds are as expected and more than decent coverage is achieved, since it does not lose the 5G signal quickly … Something that has happened with other models that we have tested (and that, curiously, use the same processor).
Here it should be noted that the temperature rises a little more than desirable when using LTE, as does the energy consumption. It is not something dramatic, it must be said, but it is important to keep in mind that this can affect the use that is given to the POCO M3 Pro 5G.
By the way, there is something that we especially liked about this phone: the GPS positioning is much better than we expected , since the precision is very high. Here, it stands out from almost all of its competition without any doubt.
Playing is possible, but with limitations
For this type of work inside the smartphone we are talking about, there is a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU integrated inside the processor. It must be clarified that we have already tested devices with this component before, and we were clear that spectacular results cannot be expected when playing games. And what we have obtained with this phone confirms this (it performs well with less demanding titles, but when graphical complications enter games there is a drop in performance … as expected).
Obviously this does not mean that you cannot enjoy and have a good time with the POCO M3 Pro 5G, since, for example, with Asphalt it does not go bad at all if the quality is not the highest possible in the game. Of course, with titles such as PUBG things go a little more twisted, and at times we suffer too many jerks to have a convincing user experience.
In the same way, it is appropriate to indicate that the temperature reaches 42 degrees quickly , although it is true that it is very difficult for it to rise above 45 no matter how long you are playing (and this is something that is not exactly very common in devices that do not include liquid cooling as is the case).
POCO M3 Pro 5G: conclusion
Taking into account that the objective of this phone is to offer the best possible quality / price ratio, we believe that the manufacturer has achieved it because the device has many virtues … but also some defects that can be corrected in future versions. The truth is that it is a highly recommended device for most users who do not have great pretensions, but who do not want to miss anything either. Of course, the MIUI interface still does not reach full maturity in its operation, sometimes it is too intrusive.
With a feeling of being left over in many of the sections of use, especially the good behavior of the internal memory (since it allows working speeds are quite high, highlighting the reading something that has a very positive impact on performance), for 199.99 euros it is very difficult to get a phone as complete as this one. In addition, it is very clear that it will be more than valid for a long time thanks to the integration of 5G.
Ultimately, there is no doubt that this phone is a pretty positive investment.
