For some time, some brands allow among the options of their personalization layer to program the automatic switching on and off of our mobile, something that can be very useful for not receiving calls at night or that nobody bothers us and that even so the alarm Ring when it is due.
This utility is linked to computers, since these have a tool that can also allow us to turn the computer on and off on a scheduled basis, although it is less useful in computers than it may seem with our mobile phone. Its operation may seem complex, but once explained we will know why our mobile is able to know the time even without apparently receiving energy.
What makes the phone turn on automatically
All mobile phones include a processor, the one in charge of operating the software and all the processes that are carried out, the same component that gives orders to the screen to stop displaying content or to do it again when we turn it on. In a way our mobile is always awake or at least not asleep at all since the processor includes among its many sections a small place where the battery continues to keep it alive.

This leads us to an explanation, where we should know that if we activate the automatic ignition of our mobile but it has low battery, it is likely that it does not wake up, because the small section of the processor does not have enough energy to give the order. This can be dangerous, causing our mobile to end up suffering damages that make us lose information by not having enough battery even to keep a part of your brain on.
The small section that stays awake is called RTC , which means Real Time Clock and consists of a small clock that based on our configuration knows at all times the time and can also mark an exact time to turn on or off. If this small section did not exist, when paying for our mobile phone and later turning it on, time would not have passed and it would be a kind of time travel.
An option that manufacturers decide
Although we would all like to have this function, it is not very widespread and depends on both the mobile manufacturer and the processor used. All processors keep that small part of the brain on but some are limited for scheduled use.

For years Mediatek is one of the most committed to this function, being present in several models of its entire range, although Snapdragon has also incorporated it into various models so that some manufacturers such as Xiaomi or Huawei allow scheduled ignition , thus adding more options to users. Although we may find the option very attractive, the truth is that not many people know about this possibility and that is why manufacturers are increasingly implementing it less in their personalization layer, avoiding working on something that offers no interest.
How to activate the automatic switching on and off of your mobile
To check if our mobile has this function and if we can use it, we have to go to the “Settings> System” section and here we should find the function to turn on and off the mobile on a scheduled basis . Most likely, we will not find it and have to rely on manufacturers to hear our wishes in future versions of their customization layers.
There are not many terminals that allow us to use the programmed on and off, being difficult to find out which of them allow it but among the most popular options we can find the Samsung Galaxy J5 and several models of the Hisense firm. Each of these terminals has its own personalization layer, but following the instructions shown above, we will be able to find it in the system, if it is available on our mobile.
Apps that allow us to turn on and off automatically
In our search for an alternative for our mobile phone, we find null options, except in the case that our mobile is rooted and we can use the app called AutoOff, which although it does not allow us to turn on the device on a scheduled basis if we have the possibility of programming the shutdown at a specific time and cancel it if for some reason we do not want to move on.
Download the AutoOff app on Google Play
And on iPhone?
Users of Apple devices have the possibility of using this type of automatic power-off functions on Mac computers, although it is not possible on iPhone. In the mobile phones of the Apple company we can activate timers so that the music stops if we use it to sleep, for example. We can do this from Clock> Timer> and that is where we will choose the time for our reproduction to stop.
