Little by little 2020 it is putting on the market the most powerful beasts of all the main manufacturers. Two great rivals, such as the OPPO Find X2 Pro and the OnePlus 8 Pro , have focused on the photographic section to try to highlight one over the other. Luckily, we have had access to both terminals to be able to test their cameras.
As usual, the comparison has been made for the official channel of our site on YouTube, so you can see the full video just below these lines. Before continuing and looking at some of these compared photos , let’s review the hardware of each device in the cameras section.

Photo comparison
Although both terminals practically tie at the hardware level , in the following examples we will see how each terminal interprets its different types of jacks in its own way. In many cases it can not be considered better or worse, since the result will be to the user’s liking, in aspects such as the representation of colors. In the following images, the photos taken with the OnePlus 8 Pro will always be on the left / top, and those of the OPPO Find X2 Pro on the right / bottom
Antagonistic Selfies
In this first example of taking selfie we already verified the mentioned difference, in the interpretation of the color that both terminals make. Before that, we highlight the good quality and the cut achieved in both terminals. However, we see that the OnePlus 8 Pro saturates the image somewhat more, while the OPPO Find X2 Pro offers a more realistic tone.
Testing the blur
Both terminals focus on the central object of the photograph. However, we can see how the OnePlus obscures objects somewhat more than the Find X2 Pro. We can also see how within this blur, OPPO reveals a little more detail than its rival, of the object located on the back wall.
Powerful in Macro
In this close shot, although the two terminals do a good job of blurring, the OPPO terminal takes the cake. We see how its dynamic range is able to show the detail of the shadows of each petal, while the flower seems less alive in the OnePlus. The Find X2 Pro also knows how to take advantage of background colors, despite being in the unfocused part of the image.
Taking out the wide angle
When we use the wide-angle camera, in a landscape like the one in the photo where there are several elements, the OnePlus gets a higher degree of detail. However, OPPO once again boasts better HDR and more realistic colors. This point can be seen especially in the sky.
With 5X zoom
The zoom is becoming very important, at least it is being given by the manufacturers and we will see if over time, both the end user. However, in this example we see how the OPPO shows a higher level of detail . This is because the 5x zoom is optical on the Find X2 Pro. These details can be seen both on the roof and on the bricks.
Night battle
This jack is taken using the Night Mode on both terminals . It is an image in which both devices must perform all kinds of interpretations and compensations, given the number of elements that come into play in the photo. The OnePlus has a better white balance, but the OPPO shows a more natural and less saturated tone than its rival.
A matter of taste
Within the difficulty of capturing light in environments where it is scarce, both terminals do an excellent job. We see that HDR is once again better in the OPPO Find X2 Pro jack located at the bottom, while OnePlus again offers more colorful tones, to give more spectacular to the shot. Taking into account that both comply with low light, the result is practically at the discretion and taste of each user.
