The first of the novelties that we find in this new version of the program is Pea 1.00 . This new version of the backend adds a 512-bit hash function to the backend of the program. Other algorithms such as Blake2b, SHA512, SHA3_512, and Whirlpool have also been added to the Windows context menu.
Another important novelty that we find in this new version is that now the program works much better with temporary files , which translates directly into an improvement in performance when opening and extracting files. Support for ZPAQ has also been improved, improving the extraction of compressed files in this format. Other file systems have also been improved so that users can work with them more comfortably.
The graphical interface of the new PeaZip 7.9 has also received some minor tweaks to make it more comfortable to work with. For example, now we can customize the spacing between files, and configure a zoom for the elements. Deleting files from the Windows program interface no longer requires running as Administrator, nor will it ask us to pass the UAC.
The internal code of the program has also received a fair amount of changes and bug fixes found during development. And finally, the Linux installer has been updated to Qt5, both in DEB and RPM. And finally, the portable version no longer requires installation.
