Orange has reached an agreement with Rakuten TV to integrate, together with the channels of its television platform, a movie video store that includes up to 6,000 titles in a mix of the big releases a few weeks after their theatrical release along with classic films.
Orange TV, in this way, reaffirms its commitment as a premium content aggregator in Spain and expands the cinematographic offer for its television clients.

Rakuten TV video club
The result of this alliance has been called “ Rakuten TV Video Club” and includes those films that are offered on Rakuten TV within its TVOD (Transactional Video On Demand) service . For example, right now we can see hits as recent as:
Rakuten on Orange TV
- Spider-Man: No Way Home .
- The Gucci House.
- sing 2.
- Scream (the 2022 reboot).
- Last night in Soho.
- 007: No Time to Die.
- Charm.
- A quiet place 2.
The integration of this digital rental service “turns Orange TV into one of the most varied and extensive content aggregation platforms in the Spanish audiovisual market, with options and genres for all audiences thanks to the agreements it has reached with the main audiovisual providers» , in the words of Ignacio García-Legaz , general manager of Orange’s television area.
Watch Rakuten on Orange TV
The arrival of this pay-on-demand content video store complements Rakuten’s offer on Orange TV, which since last February allows users to purchase a monthly subscription to Rakuten TV . This is priced at 4.99 euros per month without permanence and gives access to a catalog of thousands of hours of entertainment for the whole family and on any device with a free month for customers of the orange operator.
In this way, Orange TV customers can ensure that they watch the premieres on an intermediate date between their arrival in theaters and their release in Blu-Ray format. An authentic cinematic experience with the latest releases for rent. Thousands of movies from Hollywood and local distributors for all tastes, including action, comedy, family movies and much more.
“This agreement is an important milestone in our strategy, in which we plan to partner with telecommunications companies throughout Europe and provide users with accessible entertainment also through their preferred operators,” said Jorge del Puerto of Rakuten TV.
Present in 43 countries where it currently operates, the Rakuten model combines different proposals such as TVOD, AVOD and SVOD aimed at satisfying all user needs. This agreement that begins today is the first step in a strategy that aims to reach agreements with telecommunications operators to integrate their audiovisual offer and prolong its expansion.
