Orange does not work well: problems with mobile data

For a few minutes, the Orange mobile network has not been working properly. According to several reports from websites, such as downdetector, and from users of social networks, such as Twitter, the French operator has problems offering the mobile data service correctly. As we know, this service is what allows users to connect to the Internet and browse from their mobile. The main solution at the moment is to use a WiFi network.

With reports from several Spanish cities (Madrid, Seville, Vigo, Barcelona, Malaga, Bilbao, Valencia, Zaragoza or Salamanca, among others) we see how the telecommunications operator Orange cannot connect to the Internet from their mobile phones. The failure would also be affecting Simyo or Jazztel clients since they use the same mobile network.

Problems in Orange, Simyo or Jazztel

The mobile connection is vital at this time when smartphones are the true kings of the market. Whether to call or to connect to the Internet, the 3G, 4G or 5G network is responsible for giving us that service. Any problem in it becomes a drama for customers who are unable to use the mobile terminal normally.

In the case of Orange, the first reports have appeared around 11 in the morning in the form of complaints about not being able to use the service correctly, not being able to call and, mainly, not being able to connect to the Internet. As we have said, this affects everyone who uses the Orange network, such as Simyo or Jazztel users. We are not aware that the MVNOs that use Orange are having problems.

Here are some examples taken from the social network Twitter:

Beyond the fact that the data is not working correctly, some users complain of other problems with Orange, Simyo or Jazztel. Without going any further, we have received complaints about lack of coverage or problems making calls. At the moment, we do not have official confirmation from the operator by any means or message on social networks.

The alternative to this problem is to use a WiFi network . If we connect the mobile to a wireless network, either from our home or from our company (or from a public place, but taking all the precautions) we will be able to continue browsing the Internet, consulting social networks or using WhatsApp.

We have already contacted Orange about this and will update the article with any relevant information we can get our hands on. We know that the French operator will be working against the clock to solve the problem as soon as possible.

Updated: The operator has considered the problem solved. Users can return to using the mobile network normally. If the problem persists, it is recommended to restart the mobile phone.
