Our encounter with the OPPO Watch left us nothing short of delighted. As we previously shared in our comprehensive review, this smartwatch stood as a remarkable offering from the Asian tech giant, solidifying its place among our favorite models in the Android realm. Consequently, the prospect of witnessing a significant leap within OPPO’s smartwatch lineup fills us with excitement, and we couldn’t resist sharing the scoop with you here. While currently just a leak, all signs point to an imminent arrival of a new device featuring intriguing enhancements.

Is It the OPPO Watch?
Despite only having the OPPO Watch available in our market (alongside various other wearable options in their catalog), OPPO enjoys a robust track record in its homeland’s wearables sector. In fact, the Asian company recently unveiled the OPPO Watch 4 Pro, its most advanced model to date. However, this hasn’t deterred the rumor mill from buzzing about a rumored Watch X.

Unveiling the OPPO Watch X
A reliable leaker has provided some insight into the forthcoming device, tentatively named the OWW231, internally referred to as “Star.” Perhaps the most distinctive feature is its round case and display, a design choice that promises to deliver a more “authentic” wristwatch appearance.
While it might not be the first smartwatch with a circular screen to grace the market, the fact that OPPO is venturing into this territory, given its commendable track record with the OPPO Watch, is certainly promising.
Speculations and Features
Referred to as the “Wacth” (presumably a typo for “Watch”), the leak includes several screenshots, hinting at the device’s design. It is said to sport two physical buttons, an ECG and blood oxygen sensor, eSIM support, a stress meter, sleep monitoring capabilities, various sports modes, activity tracking, sports performance analytics, and even support for certain hand gestures—a feature seemingly inspired by the recently unveiled Apple Watch Series 9.
Availability and Pricing
All indications suggest that this watch will debut both in the Chinese market and internationally, marking OPPO’s significant global foray into the Android smartwatch segment. Interestingly, our source hints that OPPO’s sister company, OnePlus, might play a role in branding the device as it steps beyond Asian borders.

As for pricing, the details remain elusive for now. However, considering the OPPO Watch’s initial price tag in Spain was 240 euros, it’s reasonable to anticipate a similar price range for this eagerly awaited iteration.
