The fingerprint sensor is already a fundamental element in all smartphones that come onto the market. It is located on the screen, in the back or on the side, it is undoubtedly the fastest and safest way to access our mobile. For this reason, when problems arise with this hardware element, we lose a good part of the experience. Let’s see why these problems occur with the fingerprint sensor in OPPO mobiles and how to solve them.
There are several problems derived from the fingerprint sensor and in this case, it does not matter where it is located, since the fingerprint may not be read, misread or even have problems registering it. Luckily, in most cases we will have the solution at our fingertips if we make some revisions.
Fingerprint cannot be registered
There are very clear problems related to the impossibility of registering our fingerprint. This occurs when the system invites us to put our finger to register the fingerprint, but we are unable to advance the process.
Dirt as guilty
It is the main causes. There are two elements that must be kept clean in order to register the fingerprint well. The first is the sensor reading area, wherever you are and the second is our own finger. Grease or dirt are the worst enemies of a correct reading of the sensor and we will not be able to register the fingerprint correctly.
It can be humidity
Similarly, if the fingerprint sensor of our OPPO or our fingers are damp or wet, it will be the worst time to try to register the fingerprint . Although they have improved over time, they still do not respond well to water and read errors occur, causing us to be unable to start the process.
Sensor fails a lot
In this case we have managed to register our footprint , but its operation is totally erratic. In other words, sometimes the footprint is detected and sometimes it is not, and we may not know why.
Delete the registered footprint
It is the most effective method, and if for some reason the fingerprint was not registered correctly, we can fix it . In this case we will go to the security settings of our OPPO mobile and click on the previously registered fingerprint. We will have to click on it to delete it and then proceed to register it again. In most cases this method solves the problem.
Register the same finger more times
It is a trick that works very well. It is about taking advantage of the registration spaces of the different fingerprints to register the same finger at least twice. In this way the chances of having a good registration are increased and the precision when unlocking will be greater. This results in a lower failure rate when our footprint is read.
Place your finger well
It is a classic error that makes us believe that we are facing a hardware problem. However, we must place our finger on the sensor in the same way that we registered it, trying to cover the largest possible area and pressing firmly on the unlock zone.
On-screen fingerprint issues
We are facing a more sophisticated technology that deserves a separate mention. Although recently it was only present in the high range, we see it increasingly available in more mid-range terminals.
Dry environment
OPPO’s on-screen fingerprint sensors may fail in certain environments. For example when getting up in the morning, in a dry environment or cold places. If your fingers are dry, OPPO itself recommends blowing air into your fingers or rubbing them together for better precision with the on-screen unlock.
Third party protector
Many third-party , or non-OPPO-approved, screen protectors are known to be causing issues with on-screen sensors. The solution is to remove it and try again. In case it works without problems, we will already know that we must eliminate that product and get a better quality protector.
Intense light, bad companion
In this case, intense light can interfere with the light itself released by the screen of our mobile to identify the fingerprint. This usually occurs mostly when registering the fingerprint. The solution is to place ourselves in a place without intense sunlight and try again.
