OPPO: How to Move Photos to Memory Card

Luckily for many, a large part of the mobiles that continue to be launched today have their corresponding space for the microSD card. Having the option for external storage is still very useful in many circumstances, even when we need to repair or restore the system. However, one of the most used functions is the storage of photos, in order to free the internal memory of the terminal.

Many of the current high-end terminals have eliminated this possibility, in some models, but other manufacturers remain firm with this option, at least in a good part of their launches. However, ever-increasing capacities and cloud storage may be the end of microSD cards in the near future. Meanwhile, we are going to see how to transfer photos to the microSD card of our OPPO mobile.

Transfer photos to SD card

OPPO’s ColorOS operating system has a specially dedicated method for transferring all kinds of files to the memory card called “One Tap”. This method allows you to quickly move images, videos, documents or even “apk” files to the card, to free up internal storage space.

Where are they seen?

In order to use this tool we will have to go to Settings / Additional Settings / Storage. Now let’s touch on “SD card” and then on “Transfer to SD card” . Now, we will see the start menu of OPPO’s file transfer tool. In this case, it indicates that the photos in the SD can also be seen in the photo gallery, while if we choose to transfer files, they will be visible from the OPPO file explorer application.

Once the transfer boxes have been selected , whether they are only photos or more elements, we will touch on “Start Transfer” . Progress may take more or less depending on various factors such as the weight of all images or the writing speed of our microSD card. Also and as a previous step to indicate the transfer, we will see the remaining storage space on the card.

Automatically store them on the card

It is possible that instead of making a file transfer like this from time to time, we prefer that the photos we take are already saved directly on the memory card. For this we must make a simple adjustment within the camera options.

To do this we will have to enter the Camera application and select Settings , tapping on the “gear”. Then we select “Location and Storage” and finally we mark “SD Card” as the default storage. Now, all the photos will be stored on the card, but we can still see them in the photo gallery.
