Office is the most widely used office suite in the world. This suite, developed by Microsoft, is one of the most complete and compatible that we can find. A few hours ago, the developers of this suite have released a new version of ONLYOFFICE Desktop: 6.2. And these are all its news.
What’s new in ONLYOFFICE DESKTOP 6.2
This new version is now available for all Windows, Linux and macOS users. The purpose of the new version is to continue closing the gap with Microsoft, thus implementing several new features requested and expected by users.
The first of the novelties that we are going to find is that, from now on, we will be able to apply a digital signature to our documents, spreadsheets and slide shows in order to guarantee their authenticity. This new option can be found in Protection> Signature> Add digital signature.
Another important novelty is that now we will be able to protect our documents with a password . In this way we will prevent anyone from accessing them without permission. This new option is found in File> Protect> Add Password.
If we use the ” Seafile ” personal cloud and synchronization platform, from now on we will be able to edit the documents stored in your cloud directly from the desktop application, and even collaborate online with other collaborators.
Other news and improvements that have also reached the new ONLYOFFICE 6.2 are:
