The Galaxy S10 has started receiving the One UI update in Germany. It is a less heavy update than we might expect at first, with a total size of 963.49 MB that is identified as firmware version G973FXXU8DTH7. The firmware versions for the Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10 + are G970FXXU8DTH7 and G975FXXU8DTH7, respectively.

Big news for the S10

The new software update brings with it, like another to imagine, the Android security patch of September 2020. The One UI 2.5 installation package includes Wireless DeX, a function that allows you to mirror the DeX UI screen of the phone wirelessly in any screen that has Miracast. It is also accompanied by options to adjust the zoom of the screen and the size of the font.

The new update also comes with an improved professional video mode in the camera app that allows you to edit your clips as you please, an easier way to share Wi-Fi credentials with other Galaxy devices, and the ability to search YouTube videos from Samsung’s own keyboard app. In addition, the Galaxy S10 series also allows you to change the duration of the recording of the Single Capture mode, being able to set a time from 5 seconds to 15 seconds.

Since the update has started in Germany, we should not take too long to see how our mobile of the S10 family soon notifies of the availability of the software for download. If you are a user of the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10 +, you can see if you already have the update package available from the Phone Settings, selecting Software update and clicking Download and install.
