Samsung is a company that is always looking for new ways to innovate. Taking advantage of this year’s Gamescom, which takes place in Germany, the Korean company has presented two new monitors with which it hopes to revolutionize the sector. These two monitors, called Odyssey G70B and Odyssey G65B , will arrive this year, although the real star is undoubtedly its Odyssey Ark, which was presented at the last CES and is available for pre-sale from today. We tell you more about these monitors.
As we say, Samsung has waited for the celebration of one of the most important video game fairs in the world to present its two new monitors, which although they are great for playing games, they will also be perfect for any type of use that we want to give them.

Odyssey Ark: quite a show
The Odyssey Ark arrives to revolutionize the monitor market. Pre-ordering now , this monitor arrives as the world’s first 55-inch 1000R curved monitor . The price at which this monitor arrives is 2,999 euros, but the good news is that everyone who gets it between August 24 and September 11 will take home the Logitech G29 steering wheel as a gift, valued at 399 euros .

This monitor arrives, as we say, to be quite a sight to behold. It provides an immersive view not only horizontally, but also vertically. It has a refresh rate of 165 Hz and a response time of 1 ms. In addition, it is compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology, has a height adjustable stand (HAS) and a tilt and swivel function.

In terms of sound, nothing is left behind, since it has two speakers in each corner plus two central woofers, which provides a perfect 60 W of sound for any use that we want to give the monitor. Thanks to the patented Matte Display and Sound Dome technology, this Samsung Odyssey monitor will have anti-glare and anti-reflection protection , which will make it easy to see it from different angles.

So are the new Samsung monitors
The two new Samsung monitors unveiled are the first to feature both the Samsung Smart Platform and the Samsung Gaming Hub . The latter will allow users of both monitors to access video game streaming services such as Xbox, NVIDIA GeForce NOW and Google Stadia. Future buyers of these two devices will be able to access these services for smooth visuals and smooth gameplay thanks to Samsung technology. In addition, these monitors will also have the Game Bar , a tool with which we can see the status of the game’s configuration and modify certain parameters without having to exit the game.
The first of these monitors, the G70B, will be available in both 28-inch and 32-inch sizes. This monitor offers a 144Hz refresh rate and a response time of just 1ms. We are facing an IPS-type flat screen that has UHD resolution, and that comes with technologies to improve the image of video games such as Nvidia’s G-Sync or AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

The second, the G65B, will also come in two different sizes: 27 and 32 inches. In this case we are facing a curved screen monitor with a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of also 1 ms. This 1000R curved screen will have QHD resolution and will also come with FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync to improve the gaming experience.

Both devices are equipped with a highly sensitive far-field voice microphone, which will allow users of both to control the device with voice assistants like Bixby and Amazon Alexa. The Always on Voice function that they include will even allow you to communicate with Bixby even if the monitor is turned off , which is undoubtedly an extra point for voice control of these two monitors.
Both the G70B and G65B provide smart functionality that will allow us to create an office and entertainment environment at home even without the need for a PC. Users will be able to connect wirelessly or using Samsung DeX, as well as mirror a smartphone screen thanks to Apple AirPlay 2 . Both monitors will also allow you to watch OTT services such as Netflix or Amazon Prime, so we are looking at two devices that are more than just monitors.
Unlike Samsung’s new Odyssey Ark, which is already available for pre-order, these new Odysseys are going to be a little more begging. The Korean company has not wanted to give a specific date for the launch of both, but ensures that they will be available worldwide in the last quarter of this 2022 .
Hyesung Ha, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics: “Gamescom, the world’s largest gaming event, represents a great opportunity for us to showcase our latest gaming innovations that will bring the incredible future of gaming to gamers around the world. world.
