Renewed or die. All applications follow this precept and, of course, WhatsApp was not going to be an exception. The popular Meta messaging application is still the most widely used in the world today, and that’s because it never stops introducing new features and improvements version after version. The next thing to arrive in the application will be a new form of activation in which it will not be necessary to receive the traditional 6-digit code: this is what the flash calls that come to WhatsApp are like .
Thanks to these, it will not be necessary to receive the code to activate WhatsApp, although of course this method will continue to be available for users who prefer it. In this way, all those users who asked for an alternative to log in to their favorite messaging application are answered.

Flash calls as an alternative
This new activation method comes to give an alternative to all WhatsApp users, since to date the only way to activate WhatsApp was to receive a 6-digit code . The app carried out this process to verify that our phone number is correct, and once the 6-digit code was sent, the application automatically registered the arrival of the number, giving the user “permission” to use the application normally. There is also the possibility of receiving the code by phone call, but in essence it was the same operation.
With flash calls the process will be somewhat different. WhatsApp will call the user who wants to activate their account for this application and immediately hang up the call . If the number that appears in the phone call history corresponds to the number that should have called us, then the user is automatically given access to use the application.

As of the arrival of these, flash calls can also be used as the default method to activate WhatsApp. The only “but” that we can put to this is that for this we will have to give WhatsApp permission to access our call log , something that may not be to the liking of all users. However, this process is quite safe, since the number that will call the users will not always be the same.
As explained by the WABetaInfo portal, WhatsApp will not be able to use the data obtained through our call log for other purposes, since in fact the application will not access it in any other circumstance than to verify the user. Unfortunately for iOS users, this feature will only be available for Android since iOS doesn’t allow an app to read a user’s call history, so these users will still have to rely on code verification.
This feature is currently only available for the WhatsApp beta , since it is currently only in the testing phase. This function will eventually reach all Android users, but we will still have to wait a few days for it.
