During CES in 2021, which this year has taken place virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many manufacturers have shown their new products. One of them is Netgear, which among other things has reported how it will be its first router with Wi-Fi 6E. It is the Nighthawk RAXE500 model.

Wireless networks are widely used today. For this reason it is very important to have a good router that can offer great stability and connection quality. It is essential not to have problems that may affect our devices. In recent years we have seen a very important advance and that has also caused us to have a wide range of possibilities in terms of equipment that is connected without cables.
The latest technology related to wireless networks is Wi-Fi 6E , something that has been a great advance. It will allow the use of the 6 GHz band, beyond simply the 2.4 and 5 GHz band. In this sense, Netgear has shown its Nighthawk RAXE50 0 router at CES 2021, the first with Wi-Fi 6E technology. It will offer more possibilities with the 6 GHz band to those compatible devices that connect. It is very useful to avoid interference that we can suffer in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands that are more congested.
This new high-end router follows the typical Netgear aesthetic line. The manufacturer ensures that its device allows to offer up to 10.8 Gbps through wireless technology. It comes with five Gigabit Ethernet ports and two USB 3.0 ports to be able to connect other devices.
Supports multi-gigabit speeds through a compatible DOCSIS 3.1 modem, either through the RAXE500’s 2.5Gb single link or by opting for a multi-port link aggregation method
WPA-3 security standard available
A very important issue when we are going to surf the Internet is security. Especially you have to take care of it when we connect wirelessly. Wi-Fi networks must be adequately protected to avoid intruders that could compromise our privacy.
Netgear’s new Nighthawk RAXE500 router brings the latest WPA-3 standard to create complex passwords that adequately protect the network. It is the most powerful type of encryption we can find today, after WPA-2 could be exploited by the KRACK vulnerability.
Therefore, this router presented by Netgear at CES in 2021, which is the first to have Wi-Fi 6E technology, will also allow users to make use of the latest WPA-3 encryption standard and thus gain greater protection. In this way we will also maintain the performance when using the connection and not have problems.
