New professional teams with Wi-Fi 6

The manufacturer D-Link has launched new access points compatible with Nuclias Connect that incorporate the Wi-Fi 6 standard, below, we show you the two new models available:

D-Link DAP-X2810

The main characteristics of this new Wi-Fi access point is that we have simultaneous dual band with Wi-Fi 6 and AX1800. In the 2.4GHz band we can achieve a speed of up to 574Mbps, and in the 5GHz band we can achieve a speed of up to 1,201Mbps. We have two internal antennas in MU-MIMO 2T2R configuration for each frequency band. This new AP has all the features of WiFi 6, such as OFDMA, MU-MIMO and TWT, in order to provide the maximum possible overall performance.

In this case, this AP has a Gigabit Ethernet port for the LAN with PoE + support, we also have an RJ-45 port for the console. In addition, an interesting feature is that it has a power connector to not power it via PoE, although in typical ceiling assemblies we will always have power via PoE. This new AP supports the WPA3-Personal standard and also WPA3-Enterprise, ideal for providing maximum security to wireless clients. Of course, we have band-steering through a Nuclias Connect WiFi controller, Airtime Fairness and many other features, such as the ability to configure it as WDS and WDS + AP to interconnect APs via WiFi.

D-Link DAP-X2850

The main characteristics of this new Wi-Fi access point is that we have simultaneous dual band with Wi-Fi 6 and AX3600. In the 2.4GHz band we can achieve a speed of up to 1148Mbps, and in the 5GHz band we can achieve a speed of up to 2.402Mbps. We have four internal antennas in MU-MIMO 4T4R configuration for each frequency band. This new AP has all the features of WiFi 6, such as OFDMA, MU-MIMO and TWT, in order to provide the maximum possible overall performance.

In this case, this AP has a Gigabit Ethernet port for the LAN with PoE + support, and we also have a 2.5G port with PoE. When we have high-end WiFi 6 APs like this model, we could find ourselves bottlenecked with the Gigabit Ethernet interface. For this reason, D-Link has incorporated a 1G port and another 2.5G port. If we do not have 2.5G Multigigabit switches we can always make a Link Aggregation of the ports at 1G of synchronization. we also have an RJ-45 console port.

Nuclias Connect DNH-200

The manufacturer D-Link currently has the DNH-100 WiFi controller that allows to centrally manage up to 100 APs. This new DNH-200 is a WiFi controller with a Gigabit Ethernet port, which allows us to manage up to 50 APs simultaneously, and also up to 20 IP cameras in a centralized way. This model has a bay to install a hard disk of up to 5TB of capacity and to store all the recordings centrally from the different IP cameras that we have deployed.

Thanks to this new DNH-200 model, we do not need a WiFi controller and an NVR, but we have both functionalities in the same device, something ideal to have fewer devices. Of course, this equipment allows us to see all the cameras simultaneously, we have auto-healing for the APs, band-steering, load balancing and many other software features that Nuclias Connect incorporates and that we have already seen in this article.

2.5G Multigigabit to USB Adapter

The manufacturer D-Link has presented a 2.5G Multigigabit adapter to USB 3.0 type C port, thanks to this small adapter we will be able to connect at speeds of 2.5Gbps in the local network. Of course, it has all the technologies of the NBASE-T standard itself such as autonegotiation, crossover detection, it supports speeds of 10/100 and 1000Mbps and it is really small.

The USB 3.0 port is type C, not type A as usual, therefore, you must have a laptop or desktop with this type of port.

New unmanageable 2.5G Multigigabit switch

D-Link has released a new switch with a total of 5 2.5G Multigigabit ports, and one 10G Multigigabit port. Thanks to this ultra-fast connectivity, we can connect different devices via cable to their ports, and we will even have the possibility of connecting a NAS server with 10G connectivity to the 10GBASE-T port of this switch. This model has an automatic QoS that is activated with a button, to prioritize online games and streaming in 4K resolution.

A very important characteristic of this type of switch is that it is completely silent as it is fanless, so we can put it on the work table without noise problems.

New Smart Home Devices

The manufacturer D-Link has also launched new Smart Home devices such as plug-in water sensors such as the D-Link DCH-S162, which incorporates a siren inside and allows it to be integrated into mydlink, in addition, it connects to our WiFi home directly. We also have the DCH-S163 model that is battery powered and requires a hub for operation. We also have the D-Link DCH-S1621KT kit that is made up of a team of each of the above, with the aim that the DCH-S162 acts as a hub since it can be connected directly to WiFi.

Other Smart Home devices are IP cameras, we have two new models that with the D-Link DCS-8635LH with 2K resolution and robotized, it is a top-of-the-range camera aimed at indoor and outdoor environments. We also have the new D-Link DCS-8300LHv2 with Full HD resolution and top-of-the-range features.
