Although we hear about Vivo with the echo of a distant brand that triumphs in China and India, we still cannot enjoy it in our market. And it would not be surprising if this changed in 2020, taking into account that everything that the BBK Electronics factory (OPPO, Realme, OnePlus) has created. At the moment we can only have long teeth with the presentation of the new Vivo X30.
Vivo is an excellent OPPO test bench, where many of the technologies we see in other terminals reach this brand before, which is already the second in sales in China and the third in India. The new Vivo X30 and X30 Pro are the direct heirs of the Vivo X27, and come with great improvements in cameras and performance.

Brothers in almost everything
Both the Vivo X30 and the X30 Pro are virtually identical in most technical aspects. Both have a FullHD + screen with 6.44-inch AMOLED technology . This screen gets a brightness that reaches 1200 nits and is compatible with HDR, with a contrast ratio of 200000: 1. They also have the same 32 megapixel selfie camera, housed in a small notch of only 2.98 millimeters in diameter.
Exynos and 5G
In the performance section, both terminals integrate Samsung‘s powerful Exynos 980, which can be accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. This processor is compatible with NSA and SA modes for 5G connectivity.
Both the X30 and the X30 Pro mount a 4,350 mAh battery that is compatible with Vivo FlashCharge technology, that is, with a 33W fast charge. To avoid overheating, they include a gel-based cooling system inside an inner duct.
The difference is in the cameras
In the cameras we find the main difference between both terminals. The Vivo X30 Pro, offers a configuration of four cameras in the rear, which includes a main camera of 64 megapixels, a 13 megapixel telephoto lens with hybrid zoom of 5X hybrid and digital zoom of 60X .
It also includes a second 32 megapixel telephoto lens with a focal length of 50 mm for depth detection and better quality portraits, and an ultra-wide 8 megapixel sensor. The cameras feature laser autofocus for greater accuracy and speed.
The Vivo X30 comes with a triple rear camera, but eliminates the 13 megapixel telephoto lens. This limits the capabilities of your zoom to 20X, although you can take pictures in Portrait Mode with DSLR quality and capture images in a 112º wide field of view with the 8 megapixel wide angle. Both terminals have advanced camera functions such as Super Night Mode 2.0 or Hyper HDR to get better shots in low light conditions.
Prices and availability
The new Vivo X30 arrive with the FuntouchOS layer based on Android 9 Pie, although its quick update to Android 10 is expected. The two terminals arrive in silver, peach and black colors. The Vivo X30 is on sale from today in China, while sales of the Vivo X30 Pro will begin on December 24. The prices announced by the company are the following:

- Live X30 8GB + 256GB: 3598 yuan (about 462 euros)
- Vivo X30 Pro 8GB + 256GB : 3998 yuan (about 437 euros)
