Panasonic already has, like other manufacturers that joined this trend, its first True Wireles headphones. There are three models in total, although only two of them arrive under their own brand. The third one does it with the seal of the renowned firm Technics. What does it offer and what sets them apart from the rest? Let’s see it.
Panasonic RZ-S300W and RZ-S500W
The first two True Wireless headphones that Panasonic launches under its own brand are the RZ-S300W and RZ-S500W. They both share the same button-type design and with an in-ear pad system. What is most striking is that they are not one of these proposals that stick to the ear, but rather stand out and that may raise doubts about whether they will hold well or not.
Here Panasonic explains that with a weight of only 4 gr per earphone , if you choose the correct pad for each user, there is no problem. However, as in any other in-ear type headset, this is something very particular to each one. So you can not say for sure that they will fall or not, so you will have to try. Otherwise, these headphones are available in various colors.
However, what will make the difference with the rest of the proposals are their technologies and additions. So we start with the issue of controls. The headphones include a touch surface, similar to that of proposals such as those of Sony, which allow various aspects to be controlled by touch during use.
For example, depending on the number of taps you give on these surfaces, you can start or pause the music playback, also the action of picking up a call or activating other specific functions such as the ambient sound mode. This is particularly useful as it has also been seen in other models as it allows to alleviate that feeling of emptiness generated by in-ear headphones. In addition, in certain environments it allows us to continue listening to what is happening around us.
Regarding the differences, the RZ-S500W model is somewhat more expensive due to the noise cancellation technology it offers. Through the Dual Hybrid Noise Canceling system, they are able to isolate the user from the noise around them, thus allowing them to more consciously enjoy their music, podcasts or any other content they are playing.
Of course, that extra that noise cancellation offers must be paid and while the RZ-S300W model costs 119 euros, the RZ-S500W amount to 179 euros . Still, they are prices that compared to the competition position them as more attractive, as long as the design is something that convinces you.
Finally, both are compatible with voice assistants from Google, Amazon and Apple, include MEMS microphones for better call performance and are splash resistant by including protection equivalent to IPX4 certification.
Technincs AZ70
Within the new proposal of Panasonic True Wireless headphones it is logical that the model that stands out is the Technics AZ70. These headphones share some elements of the previous ones, especially in design issues with a very similar line: compact, available in two colors and with in-ear pads.
However, leaving aside the possible aesthetic similarities, the key to this model is its sound quality. Here Technics is responsible for everything that affects the sound performance of the device. That implies the use of a 10mm diameter Driver with a diaphragm that, as they themselves indicate, is covered by a PEEK material that offers a better experience together with an acoustic control camera that seeks to better control the reproduction of each of the frequencies.
To all this we add the Dual Hybrid Noise Canceling technology , an improvement in the connection between each of the headphones and the device from which it is reproduced, high-performance microphones and all the advantages that its software provides by supporting the use of voice, touch controls or the long-lasting battery itself.
Of course, these improvements over previous ones also imply a notable increase in price. These Technics AZ70 have a cost of 279 euros . Too? Because it is clear that for characteristics and price they will compete against Apple and Sony, which are currently two of the references in this segment.
