Everything pointed to that today we would see officially presented the new smartphone of the Korean manufacturer that will expand the mid-range of its catalog. We are referring to the recently released Samsung Galaxy F42 that comes along with a new feature, 5G. This mobile device joins the Galaxy F family, the direct successor being the Galaxy F41.
This smartphone from the Asian company has landed with balanced features, in addition to having a price that makes it an opponent to beat. And to this we must add that it launches 5G connectivity , among other specifications that we will go through in detail below.
More refresh rate on the Galaxy F42 screen
After several weeks full of leaks and rumors, it has finally been officially presented, and we can confirm 100% that one of the great improvements is found in its touch panel. We are facing a new Galaxy that is accompanied by a 6.6-inch FHD + LCD screen (2,400 x 1,800 pixels) and a 90 Hz refresh rate. Not bad for a mid-range.
In addition, we cannot forget the processor that gives life to this Samsung terminal, as it comes with a Dimensity 700 chip , which is capable of supporting up to 12 5G bands. An important difference with respect to the previous model, since it was only compatible with the 4G network. If we look at its different configurations, it has been presented with two versions: 6 GB of RAM + 128 GB or 8 GB + 128 GB. As for its photographic section, it has lost some potential with respect to the previous model, but even so it will offer great results thanks to its triple camera composed of a 64 megapixel main lens, a 5 megapixel wide angle and a depth sensor of 2 megapixels. And on its touch panel, we will run into the 8 megapixel selfie camera.

This new Galaxy F comes to the smartphone market accompanied by One UI 3.1 based on Android 11 . With this version of the Asian firm’s software layer, we will enjoy a terminal with new intelligent camera functions to take dynamic photos and videos. In addition to other functionalities that have been added to improve the daily use that we make of the smartphone, such as the new Vision Protector or Private share mode, with which we will eliminate the location of the photos before sharing them. And, of course, we will have small changes in the customization of the interface.
What is the price of the Galaxy F42 5G in Spain?
One of the first points that we have to make clear is that, for now, it has only been presented in India. And, currently, it is unknown if Samsung has considered launching this new smartphone to other markets, such as Europe.
