New Orange routers: Flybox and Airbox with 5G and WiFi 6

Two new additions to the Orange router family arrive. The orange operator has a new FWA 5G Flybox 5G router and the Airbox 5G portable router. Let’s see what its features are.

An alternative that is gaining more and more strength in the face of the shutdown of copper and the closure of exchanges is FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) , that is, a fixed connection that links to the operator’s network through a mobile network. 5G is a technology with great potential to become an alternative to fiber. That is why several telephone companies are adding an FWA 5G router to their catalog to provide options to all those homes that are isolated from the fiber network.

New Orange routers

The usual thing when an ADSL central is going to be closed is for the operators to transfer their clients to their own new fiber network or to networks of other companies with which they have agreements. However, FWA has become a good alternative for all those homes that are left without fiber after the ADSL blackout. Orange does not want to be left behind and that is why it launches Flybox 5G, in addition to Airbox 5G, a portable 5G MiFi with integrated battery.
