New sizes and shapes for stylish lighting
The Canadian company Nanoleaf can’t say that it sells the cheapest smart lighting products on the market, but it does have some of the most interesting.
We have already talked about Nanoleaf Shapes on occasion and we have even notified you when there have been interesting offers. So it was obvious that we would also do it when they had such attractive news as these. The first and most striking are the new proposals that include its Shapes product line.
Now not only do you have the usual geometric shapes but the brand adds two new options with which you can create much more varied shapes and more creative compositions. Thus, these new Nanoleaf Shapes offer two triangles, one large and one medium . And if you’re wondering, they share the same options, so you can use them both in conjunction with the rest of the solutions and independently.
If you already knew these lights, it is likely that multiple cases come to mind in which you could take advantage of having models of different sizes. So now it’s just a matter of taking it for a spin and seeing how you can finally get that mural you’ve been thinking about doing so much.
In addition, you must remember that as with the previous proposals, it is no longer necessary that the entire contact surface is alienated with respect to other lights. If now you only want half of them to touch you can do it, so you gain in creative possibilities.

You can also buy only the new panels if you already have a Nanoleaf starter kit and want to add these new shapes to your current composition or create a new one. In that case, if you want three large triangles, you will have to pay $ 59. And if you want ten little ones, then it will cost you $ 119.
A new competitor for Ikea and Philips Hue
Along with these new forms of the Shape series, Nanoleaf also announced that it is working on a series that it will call “Essentials” and that it could be a tough competitor for manufacturers as well positioned in this area as Ikea or Philips with their smart bulbs.
The Swedish furniture store with its Tradfri grass has managed to offer solutions with a very good price and better integration. Because they are not only compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, but also with Apple‘s HomeKit. And Philips for their part are a benchmark thanks to a very complete and high-quality catalog of smart lights, also with great support for various platforms and even with models controllable via Bluetooth.
However, knowing the good work of Nanoleaf, the new series “Essentials” could generate a severe headache if the price is competitive as they indicate it will be. In addition, they will not only have smart bulbs, but also LED strips and other elements that would complete their options and that we already met earlier this year at CES Las Vegas.
