New God of War Update for PS5: 4K Resolution and 60 fps

God of War quickly became one of the best games of the previous generation , on the PlayStation 4. Now the magnificent title developer by Santa Monica Studio is even better . An update is coming with which you can once again enjoy the demi-god son of Zeus with higher graphic quality.

4K 60fps graphics that make a difference

One of the best Playstation 4 games was undoubtedly the one developed by Santa Monica Studio and released in 2018. We are talking about God of War, a saga with a lot of recognition but that in its latest adventure managed to be even better than it already had used to previous years. However, there was the possibility of making it much more attractive and so did those in charge of giving it life.

God of War receives a new update that will mean that if the experience on PS4 was very satisfactory for the vast majority of users who played it, now it is much better for all those who have the possibility to do it again or do it for the first time on PS5 .

Santa Monica Studio released an update patch for God of War that adds the following improvements:

  • 60fps playability
  • 4K Checkboard R esolution

These two changes are important for the greater enjoyment of both characters and settings and the action itself that the title provides. Obviously it will be necessary to have a screen with 4K UHD resolution to enjoy this quality jump, but 60 frames per second is something that can be achieved with any monitor or television.

Regarding Checkboard, this is a technique that is used to rescale content to 4K resolution with the highest possible quality and without overstressing the console. Hence, it is analyzed which parts of the previous photographer can be used in the creation of the next one, those parts are reused and the load at the processing level is reduced.

Finally, although it can be played at 60 fps and that is something that many players always demand, even more stable, Santa Monica Studio also gives the option of running the game at a traditional 30 fps for all those users who such fluidity does not convince you at all. And yes, it may seem strange, but the most movie lovers are usually a little averse to a frame-per-second rate that creates too much realism. Which is not bad at all, but if you want to enjoy a more cinematic experience you can try and assess what convinces you the most.

Free for PS5 users

God of War

This update for God of War (PlayStation 4 2018) is free for PS5 users and if you are one of them, you only have to have the game to be able to access and enjoy it on your recent Playstation 5. Which is not at all a A bad idea if we consider that even the catalog of titles that make the most of the power of the Sony console is not as broad as we would all like.

So, if playing or replaying certain titles is always a good idea, now much more after the update launched by Santa Monica Studio for God of War.
