Different cameras for different models
The latest information on the Huawei Mate 40 range talks about it will include three phones, namely the Mate 40, the Mate 40 Pro and the Mate 40 Pro + . Again it seems that this year we would be without a hypothetical Huawei Mate 40 Lite.

As for the Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro + , these phones are likely to have a pill-shaped cutout on their displays to accommodate a double Selfie camera composed of a Sony IMX588 camera and a Sony IMX516, a ToF sensor that would provide depth information that has already been tested in other models of the brand and that would allow us to play with the depth of our portraits.
And what about the rear cameras?
The same rumors that detail the characteristics of the front cameras of the Huawei Mate 40 advance that the rear camera of the Mate 40 Pro will have a circular camera module with a four-camera system, while the Mate 40 will have a 3-sensor camera. It has also been speculated with a patent of the brand that could add a small display on the back that would help us to see information about the phone and a preview of what we are photographing.
As for the rest of the Huawei Mate 40 specifications , they are expected to mount the Kirin 9000E and Kirin 9000 chips respectively. The most basic will be equipped with the Kirin 9000E, a more powerful version of the Kirin 990 5G of the Mate 30 while the Mate 40 Pro and Mate 40 Pro + could include the Kirin 9000. Both processors would continue to offer 5G connectivity.
