The screens are something that gets dirty just by looking at them, and we can also say that literally. Surely you will have your tricks when it comes to cleaning the screen of your laptop or desktop computer, but there are things that you should not use. We will tell you about the products or elements with which you should never clean a laptop screen.
First of all, you should know that screens are just as delicate as other components. It is no longer just the liquid that we use, but also what helps us spread and remove dirt from the screen must have certain characteristics. Most of the time we make mistakes without realizing it, which can damage our screen.

Never use this to clean a screen
It is increasingly easy to find specific products on the market to clean screens . Many supermarkets even sell glass cleaning wipes that are optimal for cleaning the screen. But then there are products and liquids that are not recommended at all and we will tell you what they are.
When we talk about materials , we refer to the element that we will use to spread the liquid on the screen and then dry it. The worst product we can use is a t- shirt or other synthetic garment. It may seem unreal, but they can scratch the screen in many cases. Clothing is always a very bad choice, even if it’s a 100% cotton t-shirt.
Another material that is used a lot and you should not use is paper, be it napkins or kitchen paper. Although nothing usually happens, some low-quality ones can leave traces of cellulose on the screen. Toilet paper is even worse, offering very little resistance when wet.

Regarding liquids, the worst we can use is alcohol. Although this liquid is used to clean the thermal paste of the processor, since it evaporates in an instant, it can damage the screens. We must bear in mind that it is a strong chemical product that can behave like an acid (depending on the type).
Nor should we use water or if we do, that the cloth we use is slightly damp. The reason is that it could leak through the frames of the laptop screen and damage it. Surely you already know that water and electronics do not get along very well.
You should never use products such as toothbrushes, sponges or scouring pads to clean dishes. They are products that can destroy the screen of your laptop.

So what do I use?
There are different products that are quite optimal for cleaning a laptop screen. The most comfortable are the specific wipes that are sold in supermarkets or in stores like Amazon. The typical ones to clean crystals are a very good option. Some of these wipes come in individual packets, so we can put a couple in the backpack. What’s more, we recommend this type of product, since it is specifically manufactured to clean screens.
If we prefer to use a cloth, it should be microfiber , which is the most optimal for this task. We can moisten it in a little water (without more) or use glass cleaner. Yes, some window cleaners contain a little alcohol, but it is very diluted and is not dangerous. We can also opt for specific liquids, but come on, they differ very little from commercial window cleaners.
In an exceptional and punctual way we can use paper , such as napkins. But be careful, when we refer to napkins, we are talking about cellulose ones that are soft, not the typical bar ones that seem more like plastic than paper and that do not clean anything.
