Motorola seems to be having a quieter year in terms of launches, if we take into account its frenetic rhythm of news in 2019. However, the year has left us some of its most interesting bets in recent years such as the Moto Edge or the new members of the G9 family. The latest news comes precisely from the latter, with the possible arrival of the long – awaited Moto G9 Power.
From the hand of Lenovo, Motorola has recovered the essence of years ago, and also renewing an iconic family, now in the form of a folding Razr. However, the firm sometimes confuses us with the name changes, since we remember that the Moto G9 Play that we know in Europe is a Moto G9 in other markets. We have also seen how the Motorola G Stylus became the Moto G Pro and so we could continue with other similar examples.
Bigger battery than ever
However, and although it is called one way or another, everything indicates that Motorola after the launch of the first Moto G9, Motorola is preparing the launch of a Moto G9 Power, as a substitute for last year’s model. There are various reports that put us on the track of this device, as has been collected by the PhoneArena medium.
The first step is the model number XT2091, which has recently passed some of the classic regulatory certifications such as the FCC, EEC and TUV Rheinland. While it corresponds to Motorola’s hegemonic style of naming its devices, one of the clues has revealed a powerful 6,000 mAh battery for this device. Specifically, the terminal has a nominal capacity of 5,640 mAh, which is what manufacturers usually advertise as 6,000 mAh. This means that it could far outperform the Moto G8 Power and its 5,000 mAh.
The same source affirms that we could be facing a sole or variant of the Moto E7 Plus, but it seems too early for that to happen. In addition, the power of this battery would grow in its load capacity from 18W to 22W . As if that were not enough, one of the photos attached for its certification in the FCC reveals an arrangement of three rear cameras and an LED flash, arranged in a square module in the style of the moto G9 Play, and with a rear fingerprint sensor.
Launch in 2021?
The data revealed indicates that the terminal could reach the market in early 2021 at a price below 300 euros. It must be remembered that although these 6,000 mAh are an astonishing capacity, they would be below the 7,000 mAh that Samsung has recently shown for the Galaxy M51 presented in India.
