Most of Motorola‘s bets for 2021 have yet to be officially submitted. However, it is not the first time that we hear about any of its next terminals, such as the Motorola Ibiza. The device was seen in a certification body precisely, and now it appears in a famous performance program, clearly revealing some of its technical specifications.
It was last year when Motorola wanted to try their luck at the high end again, launching the Motorola Edge Plus. This year we have also seen the Motorola Edge S, as a high-performance terminal at a groundbreaking price. Now, the company seems to be preparing a hit on the table, to launch one of the cheapest 5G devices on the market. Remember that this technology is already well established in the mid-range, but not in the entry range.
Very modest but with 5G
On this occasion it was the MySmartPrice media, who has revealed the results of the Motorola Ibiza, which is labeled with the model number XT2137-2. The list reveals that the device has an Adreno 619 GPU and that it comes with 6 GB of RAM and Android 11. These results reinforce the idea that the terminal is accompanied by the new Snapdragon 480 , a processor that became official last month and that will allow to provide 5G connectivity to affordable terminals like this new Moto. In this Geekbench benchmark, the Motorola Ibiza scores 2466 points in the single-core tests, and 6223 points in the multi-core tests.
Everything indicates that the launch of the device is imminent, although Motorola has not released any brushstrokes officially. Rumors about this terminal, claim that it will come with a modest HD + screen, a large 5,000 mAh battery and triple front camera for a main sensor of 48 megapixels, and macro + depth sensors of 5 and 2 megapixels each.
When will it be released?
The source indicates that the presentation of the device could be imminent. So far we have seen other devices that integrate this processor such as the vivo Y31s, or the HTC Dedire 21 Pro 5G. All of them are very cheap bets so that 5G devices continue to reach more pockets, and have representation in the entry range. However, it has yet to be confirmed that the Motorola Ibiza will integrate this processor. We hope to know more details soon, since as we say, the brand has not offered clues about this terminal, and all the information comes from leaks like the one at hand.
