Apple has improved many aspects of its new iPhone and one of them is the battery. The battery life of all its iPhone 14 increases a little in its new line with respect to the previous models and we are going to talk a little more about it.
All four new models have an overall design similar to the iPhone 13 and 12 with their flat sides, although their thickness varies slightly and this means slightly longer battery life. In fact, the new iPhone is the best battery in an iPhone according to the company itself. This improves the battery to watch videos
Compared to previous models, the iPhone 14 increases its battery life in video playback:
- iPhone 14 Pro: 1 hour more than iPhone 13 Pro (23 hours)
- iPhone 14 Pro Max: 1 hour more than iPhone 13 Pro Max (29 hours)
- iPhone 14: 1 hour more than iPhone 13 (20 hours)
- iPhone 14 Plus: 7 hours more than iPhone 13 (26 hours)
The latter has no direct predecessor to compare with, so the comparison is made with the iPhone 13 and we see how much it outperforms previous models in terms of battery life. However, the one that provides the longest battery life in this use is the iPhone 14 Pro Max , with a total of 29 hours of audio playback.
In addition, all of them provide more hours of video playback than the previous iPhone 12, which offered 17 hours of videos on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro and 20 hours on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The model with the longest autonomy has improved by one hour compared to its more direct predecessor, but by 9 hours compared to the previous iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Autonomy to listen to music
Although the iPhones give the same number of hours of music playback as their more direct predecessors, the iPhone 14 Plus beats them all with a total duration of 100 hours of music playback.
The battery life in the music of each of the models is:
- iPhone 14 Pro: 75 hours
- iPhone 14 Pro Max: 95 hours
- iPhone 14: 80 hours
- iPhone 14 Plus: 100 hours
Although the new iPhones increase their battery when playing videos, they do not improve their duration when listening to music , something that the previous iPhone 13 had done with respect to its predecessors. For example, the battery of the iPhone 13 Pro Max has a duration of 95 hours in audio compared to the 80 hours of the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which had not improved the duration with the previous model iPhone 11 Pro Max. The battery of the iPhone 13 has gained 10 hours of autonomy in this use with respect to the previous model, just like that of the iPhone 13 Pro.
Keep in mind that the specifications of each of the new iPhone 14 claim to offer up to this battery life, which does not mean that they will reach it. In any case, they offer better batteries and greater autonomy on a day-to-day basis.
