Xiaomi is starting the year showing in society what its future will be like. We have already seen its technology to wirelessly charge devices from the same place and now it advances as it will be the mobile phone of the future. Although it must be made clear that it is a concept, the brand has just shown how its first mobile would be without ports or buttons , and with a curved screen of 88º on all 4 sides.
Vivo and Meizu have already explored the market for smartphones without buttons or ports but they have never really come to fruition. Perhaps with the support of a brand as powerful and successful as Xiaomi , this mobile phone format will end up imposing itself, which we can see in the following tweet from the firm.

The mobile of the future, according to Xiaomi
A few minutes ago, Xiaomi announced on its social networks that it would reveal something new and innovative that would be “amazing”. And it appears that the company has kept its word by revealing its first futuristic phone, a concept smartphone with a curved quad waterfall display, which features a nearly straight curved screen on all four edges of the device. We are not talking only about curving the glass but the screen itself, adding options on all 4 sides thanks to the fact that the four edges of the device are curved at an almost right angle of 88 degrees.

In this way if we look at the phone from the front, it would appear to be covered mainly by the screen, except for the corners. The smartphone maker claims that it has managed to develop this 88-degree curved screen format through “countless advances in glass bending and laminating technology to extend the limits of the screen to infinity . “
No ports or buttons
Of course, if all profiles have a screen, there is no room for ports or buttons. The brand claims that this concept has been developed using a total of 46 different patents and would depend on recognition technologies to unlock the smartphone as well as wireless charging to replenish its battery power. Regarding the volume we imagine that it would enjoy some touch control while, how to turn on the Xiaomi mobile , it is still a mystery.

Although the Xiaomi concept certainly seems futuristic and striking, it must be remembered that there are other concepts of the firm, such as the Mi Mix Alpha, that have never finished reaching the market so it is not clear if the company really aims to launch commercially this new smartphone.
