For this, the process to follow is quite similar to one that we told you a few days ago, to improve the performance of the phone. Something we can do from the phone’s own settings, as follows:
- From the settings, go to “battery and performance”
- Select the nut icon in the upper right
- Select the first option “Deactivate mobile data when the device is locked”
Within this section we can choose the time that will pass from when the phone is blocked so that the mobile data is deactivated. We have the option to do it after 5 minutes , 10 minutes, 20 minutes or never, which is synonymous with this data never being unlocked.

Logically with this method, every time you lock the phone for longer than the assigned time, the mobile data will be deactivated . This means that spending on them will be nipped in the bud and we won’t have to worry about it. But logically there is a bad side of all this, and that is that by deactivating the data we lose all possibility of receiving notifications during that time, since there are no data, they will not arrive in real time.
It is when we unlock the phone that the mobile data is automatically activated again . This is when we will start receiving notifications. We understand that it is an option that we should only activate in exceptional moments, but that is undoubtedly very effective in saving mobile data with our phone. Therefore it is an option if during the time the phone is locked we do not expect important notifications, in these cases, this function should always be active.
