Although MIUI 12.5 was presented weeks ago and the beta version has started to work, we still do not know everything that Xiaomi’s customization layer has in store. The manufacturer and its developers usually show step by step in the different beta versions with some news and now an option has been released that will give a lot of play, referring to the haptic vibration of Xiaomi mobiles.
There are already several Xiaomi terminals that have a vibration motor that allows 4D sensations when interacting with the screen, which will go a step further with the update to MIUI 12.5. The renewal of the layer provides that it is not the same sensation of using a Xiaomi mobile, than any other, to offer a premium addition not only to the touch but also in the haptic responses.
New vibration patterns on Xiaomi
Everything we have been able to know about this new haptic response is focused on the customization of MIUI and the possibility of improving the options of a system that still has a long way to go. The first thing we find is a new style of realistic touch which tries to integrate the use of the smartphone with our hands to receive responses according to our actions.
This system will allow that whenever we touch the back button or perform the gesture, the sensation is different than usual. As well as when using multitasking, fingerprint reader, volume and other aspects of the system. But nevertheless, the thing does not stop here. To make the MIUI 12.5’s haptic response more capable and useful, the following vibration styles have been added.
Crisp mode: By means of high vibration frequencies the actions will be clearer and more intense.
Base Mode: The effects will be more natural and it is about transmitting a feeling of softness with low frequencies.
Pop mode: In this case it is a combination of both, with intermediate frequencies that will vary with the gestures that are made.
What mobiles can use the haptic response?
The smartphones that will safely have this system are the latest high-end Xiaomi , which includes the new Xiaomi Mi 11, Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro, as well as the Mi 9 Pro 5G. This is due to the limitations of the hardware, which is essential to achieve the proposed results. The tactical engine must be centered on the X axis and therefore models with a Z axis such as the Redmi Note 9S and Redmi Note 9 Pro will not be able to take full advantage of it.
