Microsoft Edge is a browser which has been with us for some time. Thanks to the community, which reports many of the errors that have been emerging and the multiple developers that analyze it, many of the problems have been corrected. Thanks to that, the new Microsoft Edge Chromium will be launched in its stable version.
Even so, there are problems which are emerging and those that have already been discovered, but as in any program they will be corrected. Meanwhile we look for solutions to avoid these problems or avoid them.
Soon we will have the new Microsoft Edge, in its stable version, which we will have available on January 15 . But while we will solve the possible errors of the current version.
Some of the most known and common problems are errors 3, 7 and 60 of which there is already a solution for them, and we show you which one below.
Error 3 in Microsoft Edge: architecture failure
This error is produced and released when we try to install Microsoft Edge, but the process fails us. The error can easily be produced, because we try to install a version that is not compatible with the architecture of our computer or Windows version. That is, we must verify that our equipment is 32 or 64 bits , and download that compatible version, and that the installer is for the version of Windows (7, 8.1 and 10) that we have.
According to Microsoft, it could also be the configuration in Windows which has been altered by recent updates. Therefore, by completely uninstalling the old version of Microsoft Edge, deleting the residual files and reinstalling it, it should be fixed.
Edge Error 7: Problem with Game Mode
This error is caused by the Game Mode that includes the current Windows 10 operating system. It has an easy solution, since we will only have to deactivate it.
To deactivate Game Mode we can do it by accessing the configuration by:
- Windows key + I> Games> Game Mode> Disabled.
- Settings> Games> Game Mode> Off
As shown in this example, we must keep this option disabled until we install Microsoft Edge.
Error 60: generic browser errors
This error, as in the previous case, is specific to Windows 10. Its possible solutions are very simple:
We will verify that the file is not corrupt and that we have downloaded it from a reliable or original website. If we have downloaded the installer from the official website , and still throws us the error, we must check that we do not have the installer open 2 times. To do it more efficiently, we can do it by looking at open processes.
If it still does not work for us, we will try to restart the computer, since it could be that our system is frozen and not working properly. After this, you should be able to allow us to install the browser without problems.
Recommendation: We recommend waiting for the update that will be launched with the browser in its stable version, with which we will have no problem in its installation and use. In the case of having a problem, it will be repaired in a short time since they will launch constant updates.
As indicated in the policy, if it is maintained and not modified, we will receive updates every six weeks, like all other versions of Chromium. And these will arrive through Windows Update.
