Although software should always get better and not worse, Microsoft seems to care the same, preferring to arbitrarily remove and put features that confuse and anger users. Virtually all the new changes that have been introduced to the taskbar in Windows 11 have been for the worse, since many functions are lost. Now, the company has confirmed all that we are going to lose and we are not going to be able to recover.
Windows 11 is going to introduce many new features, both visually and in terms of usability. DirectStorage, Auto HDR , configuration menu with more functions or a performance improvement for hybrid CPUs or Android applications run natively are some of the most important among the hundreds of changes that we will see in the system. However, there are some functionality-level changes that are inexplicable, beyond the stringent minimum requirements of Windows 11.
Remove functions for the sake of it
For example, when we right-click on the desktop, we now have a new context menu , and it is necessary to do one more click to see the elements of the old context menu. In turn, if we right-click on the task bar below, we no longer have the configuration options of the bar or the direct access to the Task Manager, everything now resides in the Configuration menu.
Microsoft is currently in the final phase of testing , and they will probably start testing the RTM version from mid-September to release at the end of October. For this reason, the company is no longer going to make major changes, and as some elements are now, it will be as we receive it as users.
And it is that Microsoft itself has confirmed that the loss of taskbar functions has been done on purpose and that they will not fix it for the launch. It is possible that if the company receives a lot of criticism it will make changes for the updates that it releases in the system in 2022.

Thus, we do not have the context menu when we right-click , we cannot drag a file or application to the taskbar or to programs that we have open, and we cannot ungroup elements of the same program so that they occupy the entire bar.

As if that were not enough, in the clock section of the taskbar we cannot see the seconds in the hour , something that we could activate with Windows 10. The company states that, in this case, they will consider reintroducing it due to the flood of user complaints, but unfortunately in the rest of the functions we will have to install third-party software or stay with Windows 10 until they are implemented in 11.
